Re: Request of rule over "A > B" and "battle power list" pos
Actually, that thread is in the fanworks section as a place to post fan-made lists. Hence, why it's in the Fanworks section to begin with. While there's some amount of discussion and critique inherent within it, it's not supposed to be a place to "debate" power levels.Fox666 wrote:That's what the "Official Unofficial Power Levels" thread is here for!
But I do agree that all these power-centric topics are getting super-old quick, especially when they're full of insubstantial bullcrap like the '>' chains as elements of the argument.
I don't know about creating a rule, but as a mod I'll certainly keep an eye out for it, discourage it, and certainly try not to start it.

Re: Request of rule over "A > B" and "battle power list" pos
As pointed out hours ago, this is already against the rules.
The rules also generally encourage people to put thought into their posts, such as using complete sentences to explain your ideas in detail. When I look through those threads, it seems like the majority do write out their thoughts properly. Are there really that many posts that are nothing but equations or lists? It doesn't seem to happen very often, and when it does, the offender is chastised for it. I can personally make it a point to read those threads a little more thoroughly, but I don't think a lack of elaboration is a major issue.Forum Rules wrote:We ask that our new members recognize that this is not your typical DragonBall message board. Many of the standard conversation-types and quirks used on other forums are either completely foreign to members here, or highly frowned upon. Please do not speak in "equations" for comparing character strengths, for example (SSJ2 Goku post-Senzu > Bootenks 2.5); this not only looks ridiculous, but does little to add to a genuine conversation. "Battle Power" or "Power Level" debates, while not expressly forbidden and will never be frowned upon on principle, tend to leave little in the way of actual conversation.
