I might buy raging blast 2 as soon as my finals are over, i just wanted to ask does the game offer custom songs like in raging blast 1?
If that's the case i can buy the PAL version and listen to Kikuchi's score from my PS3 :D
But, the "Kikuchi" score is only available in the Japanese version.
That's not what he's saying.

He's saying that, if RB 2 offers custom songs like in RB 1, he can just buy the version, which doesn't have kikuchi's score, but still listen to it, since he has the music on his PS3.

My mind was blown when i heard through the podcast...

I mean, wasn't FUNimation's version the ONLY version with an altered score? The biggest changes i see everywhere else in the world are openings, endings and insert songs (and even for some there were instrumentals).

And is it really a copyright issue? Or is it maybe someone going "I'm sorry, we really can't (be bothered to sign a few extra papers)." ?

Because i see every Dragon Ball game with the slightest Japanese music being replaced (even the openings until Sparking Meteor), but when i turn around i see Ubisoft making a Naruto game that not only uses the music but also full clips from the anime as cutscenes...

(Brought in a Naruto game only for comparison's sake, since that one wasn't even made in Japan)

Wooooooooow. What a huge difference it makes. Sad Mike.

Hmmm... I wonder if the Asian English-language version has the replacement or original score...? Not willing to spend $50 to find out :P.
I'm asking that on 2ch board. Maybe we'll get the answer.
Nothing ever came out of this info? Does it include or not the Kikuchi score for the game? Thanks

No, it's not. I already answered that question, before.

Huh. The synthesized Kikichi music actually sounds pretty good... and this coming from a fan who doesn't even like the original Japanese score.

That said, anyone know who composed the music for RB2? As in, these synthesized versions?

Awww, great!! Now when I finally decided to buy RB2 for XBOX, I'm pissed off, that I must buy European version (in other words screwed US localization) without this music. So I probably won't buy it until I will be bored as hell, because it always annoyed me about BT3, playing it with about 6 pieces of rock music in a loop for ever and ever and ever with knowing, that Japanese version has Kikuchi score which I'm familiar with since the end of nineties.
Only thing that amused me was ton of characters including DB and DBGT ones (hell, without GT Vegeta).
This ruined my enthusiasm about buying it, because Sparking-like fighting games aren't exactly my cup of tea, I enjoyed Naruto series on Wii much more (with nice simmilar to series-like music) and RB2 is the same thing with better graphics, !!!!repetitive rock music!!!! and few characters that weren't included before minus Dragon Ball and GT.
So I will kindly send my thanks, that you killed my fan-atism and I will buy something different for that money :) :) :)

Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

Am I the only one who doesn't like this? Sure the Kikiuchi score is great but dont you want something new? For me if I want to hear the Japanese music I will just watch the Anime but when I play the video games I want to hear something fresh and new.

When the point of the games is to replicate the speed, intensity, and drama of the anime... well, it makes perfect sense to me to have the appropriate music carried over. I cannot even fathom playing through the Sparking! seires without said music -- I would say I don't know how some of you did it with the American releases, but I just did it over the last two years with the two Raging Blast games, myself. That being said, I noted with both of those games how something was clearly lacking from the experience, and it was amazing to drop the Kikuchi score in and see just how much it brought a smile to my face and (likely false :P) enjoyment to the gaming experience.

Things like the Budokai series? Sure, new music makes sense (particularly when it's as awesome of a score as Yamamoto and Tower of Power put together). These games, though? Kikuchi or GTFO :D.

Oh well. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. For me, if I wanted the Kikuchi score, I would just watch the anime.

And how, exactly, was this post any better...?

Anyone have a link to the new Solid State Scouter song?
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.
