They're still using 'Yeah, Break' on the TV Broadcast.

So did anybody else just see that promo for the new episode tomorrow? They just played a clip show with no narration of Goku getting the everloving shit beat out of him. All with some haunting chorus in the background.

I loved it...It totally spelled doom for Goku...a bit of foreshadowing in it's own right. New fans of the fan, like, literal new fans will be like 'WTF' when Goku randomly gets his ass beaten into submission

Wait, what broadcast are you talking about?

I just heard #19's voice.

Goddammit FUNi, you were doing so well...

Admittedly it's not as terrible as the previous incarnation, but it's still completely wrong. And that makes me seriously fear that they're going to do the same thing with Buu again, because their dubbed voices always had the same 'style' to them, and I always attributed that to FUNi saying 'lololol fat guy voice'. If they chose to redo #19 with a similar type of voice as their previous dub, just what does that mean we have to look forward to for Buu? I realize that's a long ways off, but it's a realistic fear.

(Also they stuck to the soft 'g' pronunciation for Gero, which irks me, but isn't the end of the world...I got used to Yusuke Yoo-rameshi, after all...)

You're most likely not up to date with the news surrounding Kai. It ends with Cell, confirmed

Well, we may never GET to Boo, so that may be a moot point anyway.

Regardless, though, the voice and acting for #19 work INCREDIBLY well, regardless of the Japanese version. The only thing that really bothers me is that stupid filter. It's really just distracting than anything else. Same with Metal Freeza.

There won't be a Boo arc in Kai at all :(

Yeah, while a lot of anime fans today always compare a dub to original Japanese version and never take the merit of the acting. And Todd does a great job as 19.

If a year ago, someone had told me that there would one day be a rap by Nickelodeon featuring characters from Dragon Ball Z and Avatar The Last Airbender set to the tune of "Nothing but a G Thing" by Snoop Dogg, I would have asked them if I could have some of what they were smoking.

I'm so very, very confused...and go Kai...bleh. Still like Avatar though.

So, now I guess we must just enjoy Kai on Nicktoons, and DVD, while hoping Funi comes through with a saving purchase.

DB Kai and Nicktoons are a great lineup of Toonami quality. If only Nicktoons had more great shows.

Honestly they need to throw TMNT 2K3 in the lineup on Nicktoons.

"Nuthin But A G Thang" is a Dr. Dre song (although Snoop was featured in it quite a bit). And I don't hear much of a resemblance beyond the "One, two, three and to the four."

But the fact that an official company associated that song with Dragon Ball even slightly makes me feel a large number of powerful emotions.

Wow. I'm sorry I got all that wrong. Because I totally wasn't even serious either.

The first line is set to the beat of the song. The rest of it breaks off. It's as much based on "Nuthin' But A G Thang" as Dragon Ball is Journey to the West.

"One, Two, Three, and to the Fo'. Snoop Doggy Dog and Dr. Dre are at the do'."
"One, Two, Three, and to the four. Nicktoons 'bout to clash like they never have before."
