Argh, my previous homestay family is in a residential district of Yokohama. (Kamiooka, to be exact.) What are the odds an area like that would come out mostly okay, kei17?

I think Yokohama is mostly okay, but the news reports the lifeline damage there, so honestly I am not sure.
A strong quake yet again just a while ago. Oh, man... :|

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this: Where does Julian live again? Is he near, or far from the tsunami?
Usually goes by "Kevtrev" elsewhere online.
Draws comics that may or may not have been blatantly inspired by Akira Toriyama's manga.

He's in Osaka, isn't he? Hope he's okay, haven't seen him pop up on Twitter or anything yet.

Edit: Never mind, he did about 15 minutes ago. :D

Well, the Tsunami is coming towards my country in the next few hours  .

It's the biggest earthquake to hit Japan in 140 years.

Good luck bro!

Also it really is an impressive event taking place, I hope the safety measures Japan has to combat this situation really prove their worth!

But honestly I'm more worried about the small islands in the pacific...

And oh, maybe Cell's Earth Shaking episode really will be cancelled.
It certainly sounds like a possibilty to me.

Why would I need it? The Tsunami is coming towards the eastern Indonesia, I live in the western Indonesia. So I'll be fine.

Also, I hope Toriyama, Oda, and Kishimoto are okay.

Wow, this is absolutely horrible! My thoughts go out to Japan and it's inhabitants (and everyone who is there at the moment)!
Honestly, the anime industry is at the moment the least of my concern @_@ Which prefectures were hit?

According to Al Jazeera a tsunami has hit Hokkaido, Aomori prefecture, Ibaraki, Chiba and Tokyo Bay.

Does anyone know how bad the Hirakawa area (Aomori) was hit?

Turn on CNN.
But... their coverage won't have a lot of lemony energy drink commercials!
Then turn on Fox News! Sure they might go into talking about Charlie Sheen after 30 minutes of talking about the Earthquake, but it's at least better than CNN.

DBZ bootlegs have the movie 9 cover with the pioneer movie 2 description on the back and the disc actually has a Japanese soap opera in MEPG2.

The first thing that came to my mind when I heard about the Earthquake was if Julian was alright. It seems that the trains are still running in Osaka according to his latest Twitter message.

My thoughts go out to all those in Japan.
