I have a friend in the Sendai area. She reported that she's safe. Just low on food and water. But she'll be fine. Anyway, I was checking some Chinese forums and heard that Shonen Jump's next issue will be cancelled until further notice. This is due to the nuclear threats happening right now. I support this notion and give a big kudos to Shueisha for this. At a time like this, nobody is really in the mood for entertainment.

I also heard that a good 1.2 million PS3's have been floating on the shores due to the tsunami. Sony's at a pretty big loss. Microsoft lost about 5600 units of Xbox360's from the flooding as well. Not as bad a loss for Microsoft but still a hefty number.
The world is your's.

So regarding this earthquake...I was hoping people could give me some advice. I was planning on going to Tokyo, Japan this Monday. I've been planning this for 5 months, but yea, that's not going to happen anymore. The tour group I'm going with has rescheduled for around late April. I still kinda think that's too soon. But I really want to go. I've been looking forward to it for 5 months and then this horrible event happens. What do you guys think? Should I try and go in April or what?

1.2 million...?

Not according to this:
Japan faced a major natural disaster a few days ago when a earthquake measuring 8.9 on the ricter scale shook the nation, followed immediately by a disastrous tsunami.

The gaming industry also suffered along with the people of Japan, with gaming giant, Sony having to close multiple factories and suffering huge losses.

Reports suggests that as many as 12,000 PS3s and 5,600 Xbox 360 consoles were swept away by the tsunami.

Sony also had to shut down six factories in Fukushima and Miyazaki after the tremore hit Japan. These factories prodcued Blu-ray discs and other products, including PS3s. Sony is still accessing the damage done to these factories.

On a brighter side, Sony had pledged to donate 300 million yen for relief and aid to victims of the earthquake. They’ll also be donating 30,000 units of radio products to the quake victims.

We hope that Japan emerges from this disaster, quickly and completely. Our thoughts go out to all those affected.

There are google ads attached to it.

Every time you watch, Shueisha gets ad revenue from them.

Shueisha has promised that every single yen that the ad revenue produces is going to the relief effort.

I'm reloading the video as often as I can, as well as leaving my own message. I even put it in Japanese already so they don't have to translate it.

I've viewed it twice already; I wish I could login to my YouTube account and favorite it.

Would anyone know if there's a way to bypass the whole "attach this account to an e-mail address" thing on YouTube? And does it have to be a Google account? Because I don't want to attach my name to my YouTube. I'm eventually going to need my account back. ^^;;

Well if merely watching the video really does contribute to Aid for Japan then I would think they would want to reach as many people as possible.

Yes, but I'm pretty sure one of the main reasons hey made an English version was because there are a lot of Shueisha manga that are popular in America, so they were smart to do so.

Um... that may also count the nuclear accident down in Fukushima that almost caused a meltdown too.
