This is the moment of truth, Kenji or no Kenji?

Not really. All over Japan there have been reports of viewers watching and noticing the BGM changed, which means, in Japan, it already took place. Therefore, the answer is "no Kenji". Even Fuji TV and Toei's Kai websites got Yamamoto out of the picture for good and changed the staff listing to "Kikuchi Shunsuke" in place of "Yamamoto Kenji" for the Music section.DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:This is the moment of truth, Kenji or no Kenji?
So mondo lame.

Do you use KeyHoleTV? It's a nifty little application for watching Japanese television on your computer.
So mondo lame.

I think a lot of people, myself included, would like it to be Kenji Yamamoto's music, but we'll see.
Re: Kai Episode 96 (20th March 2011)
So, original music it is.

It's pretty surreal watching Kai with Kikuchi's score.

He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

It's feels kinda pointless watching Kai with the old score, and they changed the narrator.

Thank God they're using the same piece when Goku talks to Gohan, as in the original. And I like what they used at the episode titles.

No real point to it, just to add bits of info to the discussion, if that makes any sense.Goku100xKamehameha wrote:.....your point?

Re: Kai Episode 96 (20th March 2011)
Yeah this music placement is waaaaaayyyy off for my liking. I just don't feel like this particular scene shouldn't sound so angel-like. Well Gohan's charging his Kamehameha. Music should not be so slow-moving. Dammit Toei! Why couldn't you acknowledge the rip-offs after Kai was finished. XD
Well first half of the episode is out of the way, and I can honestly say I would rather enjoy-OH FATHER SON KAMEHAMEHA
EDIT: I realize that certain piece was playing in the original, but I still don't like it. The Kai score had some fast-paced music, and Faulconer is what I grew up with, therefore, I'm used to fast paced pieces playing, like Cell's defeat just shouldn't sound so heroic.
EDIT 2: No moar flashy flashy when Gohan does the Father-Son Kamehameha?

GT isn't bad, just sucks ass in comparison to the other 2 animes.

I think the music choices have been fine, but maybe there's a little too much music.

Damn I love Kikuchi's score but watching this now makes me feel as though the music is out of place. The scene where everyone is fighting Cell should sound more "edge of my seat-ish" if you know what I mean.
