I know he voices Recoome. I don't know about the others as I can't tell off the bat. When the dvds come around we'll really know since there they link the actor with the character directly.
He also does Jeice and Burter

Well, tonight, Guldo said "Aw, hell," Vegeta said "Dammit," Jeice said Vegeta was a "crazy bastard," and Recoome said "I'd say Captain Ginyu's gonna be pissed." Wow, lots of curses tonight. Oh, and if anyone thinks this counts, Burter said "Sucks for you, Recoome."

They're going to keep pushing the envelope on this, aren't they? Regardless, it would be a huge shame (but not entirely unexpected) if they didn't redub the third season onward to continue this uhh... vulgarity? ^_^

I wonder how long it'll be before a shit gets thrown into there :)

It won't happen on CN. That word's too much even for AS, as they censor it everytime in Bebop and the Bebop movie.

Have to say for some reason I can't really explain, the "bastard" line went well with Jeice's accent in my view.

Hm, sounds like they're taking a little too much in privelages by adding in swears. It's fine when they add the occasional "damn" or "bastard," but several times when anything but "damn" is used kinda pushes it. o_o I wonder if they're using the YuYu Hakusho script writers, seeing as how the dialogue in the English dub has more swears than the original. Let's hope they don't start going Anime Labs crazy with the swears for the final set of episodes. :P

I wouldn't really call that taking too many privileges. The writers are simply creating dialogue that they believe works for Funimation's version of DBZ. It's always been more "extreme" than the original anyway, so now they're just taking advantage of the 'Uncut' label. But yeah, it does seem a little silly to get too excessive at this point.

Well, when I say taking privelages, I mean they're feeling that since it's uncut, they'll try to get away with a few things more than usual. :P Not that it's entirely a bad thing, though. At least they're handling it with a more serious attitude and are thinking of the older fans as well, rather than trying to keep the target audience the same as when Saban was helping provide the dub (which was a terribly low marketing audicence). Shame it's not gonna last for long.

Sorry, I misinterpreted your previous post. I agree about taking advantage of the uncut deal.

Heh, well, so far tonight, there’s been one swear from Vegeta, a "Go to hell, Recoome!"

Edit: Wow, a "Dammit all," and then a "Dammit," from Vegeta, and finally, two uses of "I'm pissed" from Recoome. Woo.. Now, Gohan is pissed. ^^

Did you hear the background music at the end when Gohan was talking smack to Recoome? It seemed pretty hopeless. I tell ya man, with all the swearing, cinema music, and almost accurate dialogue I can finally say that I am watching a decent DBZ dub and I say that "it's about freaking time"! Way to go Funimation. Keep up the great work guys.

I don't really see them keeping up the good work when they got ... 2 episodes left is it, of the redub? There's no way in hell they're gonna do the same with the Frieza saga to the end of GT just to appease the fans. Really no point in telling them to keep up the good work when really, this is the last bit of work on DBZ they're doing, besides the final couple movies that is.

Call me crazy, but I would've killed to hear Bryan Drummond say that line back in the old DBZ dub. Sounds like something he'd pull off quite well.

This is probably because I haven't seen the old ep in a while or vol. 7 of the DBZ manga in a while as well, but tonight was the first time I noticed Vegeta's blast looked similar to "Final Flash" due to the way his hands were.

Heh, I'd noticed that first time I saw Vegeta use it on Cell. My first thought was "Oh, sweet, the move he used on Recoome!" and yet there's still people that deny it's the Final Flash. I was half hoping FUNi would have added Vegeta calling out Final Flash....

They don't really swear in the uncut DVDs for the Freeza Saga and up, do they? That's highly inconsistant >_<

Nope. Even in the uncut versions from Fireza to Kid Buu, psuedo swears are everywhere.

Although I find it ridiculous as all hell that they went about censoring the word "butt." Not "ass." "Butt" was the word they censored a lot back in the Ginyu and Frieza sections.

Swears have been done in the Uncut dub from Frieza to Kid Buu. Dende said his famous "piss" in the Frieza saga, "hell" would consistintly be refered by the proper name when HFIL would show up in the edit version, and "ass" was said by Hercule in the latter part of the Super Buu episodes.

Heh, I was hoping for a curse, and we got one! A "Damn," from Vegeta, near the very end of this episode. Ah, and here's Goku!

Eh, I was more impressed by the mention of Gohan's broken neck, which wasn't made to look quite so bad in the previous version. Recoome's voice bothers me, though -- I was a fan of the one he had in the Ocean dub. :?

Man, one of my favorite episodes and I forgot to tape it. :/ And from what I've heard it seems the next airing will be once a week on Saturdays so it's gonna take forever to get there again. Damn. How many episodes are left, one, two?
