Most Sentimental Moment in Dragonball History

Post by Choice195 » Sat Mar 26, 2011 4:00 pm

Whats your most sentimental moment of Dragonball/Z/GT?
Mine was when Goku sacrificed himself to save the earth...

I suppose I'm not original
That's the only part that I can watch just that way- with that overdub and that sign in the corner of the screen.

Son Goku seeing his grandfather again during the Uranai Baba Arc or Chaozu/Tenshinhan dying during the Saiya-jin Arc or the end of DBGT.

Bora being revived.Bora´s death and revival were onbe of the very very few things I remembered from watching DB the first time as a kid.It affected me greatly because before that I never considered that its possible to lose a parent (We didnt watch The Lion King or Bambi at my home until later)

My YouTube

Soppa Saiyjins from Dorgou Ballru Zetto is my favorite transformation everah, especially when Trounksoru did it in front of Seru and when Bejita did it when he faced Jingonigen-hachigo. But for real, I use the FUNi pronunciation. - Soppa Saia People

Piccolo's death, especially in the anime. It was sentimental in the way of Piccolo remembering his "good times" with Gohan.

For me, it's tied between when Goku met with the deceased Grandpa Gohan or Goten meeting his father.

Piccolo's death in GT. That always gets me depressed.

Goku's death during the Cell Games, especially during my first viewing of it. After fighting for his life against the heart virus, he just goes and sacrifices himself for everybody else. I know it's something he would do, but that didn't really console my four-year-old version of me's mind.
"Perfect" is the enemy of the good. True for Cell and true for real life.
Don't forget to slow down and enjoy yourself.

Vegeta's suicide attack on Boo. It blew my mind he was capable of that, it was probably one of the few times I was genuinly shocked watching the series.

The first time Vegeta died in the Freeza arc, though I didn't know he was going to be revived later lol.

Same here. Along with Vegeta's sacrifice.

Goku vs. Krillin at the end of GT, then Goku just vanishes with his footprints in the sand following after.

Piccolo sacrificing himself for Gohan, Android 16 getting killed by Cell, Bardock sacrificing himself and seeing Goku grown up, the montage of Goku at the end of GT, and Vegeta sacrificing himself against Buu.

All moments made me cry first time I saw them. Wow I just realized Dragonball Z had a lot more crying moments than I thought it did, didn't realize that.

1. Goku saying he doesnt want to be wished back and Gohan almost in tears saying, "daddy, please don't say such things."

2. Goku meeting Goten and hugging him.

3. Goku saying goodbye to everyone after his one day on earth. (I remember in the Japanese version he says, "Goodbye! I'll see all of you when you die." :p) That made be laugh right after almost shedding a tear! Amazing moment.

4. End of Dragon Ball GT when they show scenes from Dragon Ball right upto GT playing "Dan Dan Kokoro Hikari Teku" I cried like a baby. :( [/b][/b]

Frieza's defeat at the hands of Goku on Namek.
