Budokai Styled Game for 3DS Idea
Well yesterday I was playing Budokai 1 and when I got to the stage select screen and how the enviorment would pop out to you when you highlighted a certain stage got me thinking...what if an updated Budokai 1 remake with a fancy name and longer storymode came out? With more characters, new voices, Buu saga, Budokai 1-Cutscenes, more stages etc. I know its farfetched but I would definetly pick it up along with a 3DS.

That would be interesting, considering the "Budokai" seires was a great trilogy. But, Nintendo and its handheld line may not be able to handle those kinds of graphics. Then again, I haven't seen the 3DS, so I wouldn't know.
So mondo lame.

The 3DS has greater graphics capabilities than the PS2.GotenDaisuki wrote:That would be interesting, considering the "Budokai" seires was a great trilogy. But, Nintendo and its handheld line may not be able to handle those kinds of graphics. Then again, I haven't seen the 3DS, so I wouldn't know.

If Capcom has ported Super Street Fighter 4 (according to them, "without taking shortcuts") to the 3DS, I'm pretty sure it could it. And then some.GotenDaisuki wrote:That would be interesting, considering the "Budokai" seires was a great trilogy. That, or Shin Budokai 3!gotenx wrote:Burst Limit 2 on the 3DS? Take my money.

Well, I would hope that Dimps would take full advantage of the hardware they have at their disposal, but if a cheap port with a story line hacked on is what it takes to get me a new Budokai game, I'm all for it.Kendamu wrote:That, or Shin Budokai 3!gotenx wrote:Burst Limit 2 on the 3DS? It's been confirmed that the graphical power is about equal to the Wii. If you need evidence of this, I can provide it.Super Saiyan Prime wrote:The 3DS has greater graphics capabilities than the PS2.GotenDaisuki wrote:That would be interesting, considering the "Budokai" seires was a great trilogy. Anyway, "Dragon Ball (working title)" has been confirmed to be in production by Namco Bandai. I have a feeling it will be something Budokai/Sparking!-related, but who knows? Maybe it's a sequel to Attack of the Saiyans, a DBZ continuation of Dragon Ball DS, or something entirely new. But if I had to guess, I'd say it's a Budokai 3 port, Shin Budokai 3, a remade Tag VS, or a ported version of Raging Blast. There's so many possibilities, but I would like to see Budokai 3D or Sparking! METEOR 3D.

Re: Budokai Styled Game for 3DS Idea
That would be great, I just hope that they make an awesome DBZ game for the NGP as well, as if not then there would be no way I could justify buying one
Next to get; Leged of Saiyan figures and Freeza's force
If anyone sees
Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure
If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me

The gameplay of the Shin Budokai games aren't a cheap port. That's like saying SFA3MAX is a cheap port of SFA3. I will agree about the crappy story, though.gotenx wrote:Well, I would hope that Dimps would take full advantage of the hardware they have at their disposal, but if a cheap port with a story line hacked on is what it takes to get me a new Budokai game, I'm all for it.Kendamu wrote:That, or Shin Budokai 3!gotenx wrote:Burst Limit 2 on the 3DS? Budokai 3D with Cut-scenes.
But I'd prefer the NGP.

Seeing the game in 3D is quite a good idea. Anyway, the graphics might really big enough no handle so it might not good to play the game in 3D. Anyway, it is good if it will run smoothly on the game console.

I guess I'm not the only one who wants a Sparking! Meteor 3DS.Thanos wrote:There's so many possibilities, but I would like to see Budokai 3D or Sparking! METEOR 3D.
Looks like I'm not as crazy as I thought.

As I said, the massive maps and the concept with the other person dashing toward you at high speeds in 3D is practically begging to be made.

Re: Budokai Styled Game for 3DS Idea
That is true. I could totally see that being awesome in 3D. Especially since the graphics will look awesome on the 3DS if it's made (because as stated earlier, the 3DS is more powerful than the PS2, more powerful than the PSP, and as powerful as the Wii, so yeah).Thanos wrote:Definitely not.Animefreak1325 wrote:I guess I'm not the only one who wants a Sparking! Hopefully we'll get some pictures and an actual game title next month (because of E3 and all).

I feel like the decision has already been solidified for my purchase of the 3DS (Super Street Fighter IV 3D, Dead or Alive: Dimensions, Super Mario, Paper Mario, Mario Kart, Zelda, Shinobi, Cave Story, etc... among many others) but a nice new DBZ fighter (or even a 3D port) will only make me more desperate.

I can see it now. Dragon ball z Budokai 3ds! I bet they could pull off a port of Budokai 4 on the 3DS.

Man, still no screenshots or anything. Let's hope there'll be something at TGS 2011.
