Now, if only I had something other than my notes to show for it, but eh, maybe someone will be entertained in some way...?
Primmace: Capsule Corp is testing out a new vehicle. Guests get to go on a test ride. It's a rather fast aircraft designed for atmospheric travel with minimal risk of crashing or screwing with the weather and stuff like that.
Time: I'm finding it easiest to imagine after the 28th tournament (Uub... I didn't get my numbers wrong, did I?), but doing it earlier might not hurt. The general idea is to have Trunks being the test pilot. If it's when he's younger, it might be Bulma with Trunks just kind of there. But having teen/adult Trunks there seems more appropriate.
--- The area for the line into the ride should be a simulation of the Capsule Corp grounds, and any outdoors areas should give a feel for West City. Inside, there are numerous things (including everything that we see of Capsule Corp in the series proper is desirable. Maybe have something that hints at something related to #16. Yamcha / Vegeta / Bulma's mom hanging around?)
--- Dr. Breef gives the information and such to the audience before they get on the ride. Trunks will pilot, while remaining in contact with Bulma via radio.
There are two ways this could work. It could be one of the 3d simulation type rides (Disney's Startours, Universal's Spider-man / Hogwarts / Back to the Future), or it could involve an actual track, though perhaps with a few projector areas along the way. (Decide based on the content and how best it can be adapted.
First, we show off the speed abilities and the general handling by flying clear to Mt. Paozu, where we pick up Goten. Goku decides to tag along, but by flying outside rather than aboard the ship. (If he's off training with Uub, we could throw in another stop or explanation or something for picking up Goku).
A stop by Kamehouse would be nice. Having Krillin along would be fun.
Now, the length of this thing is worth considering, so the content I have in mind:
- Maybe fly past Colonel Violet (note that noone present would recognize her, though someone might realize she used to be in the Red Ribbon Army). Thinking she might steal an engine from the ship, causing a crash landing in Penguin Village, where Turbo fixes the ship and we get back on our way.
- Run into Pilaf, Shuu and Mai at some point. Perhaps they "accidentally" get caught up in the ship as they're trying to get away, and some more crazy maneuvering happens.
- Maybe leading into running into a surviving Piccolo-spawn. (Tympani? Could have Goku mishear it as Chimpanzee?)
- Some brief fly-bys would be good, places like Nam's village, Papaya Island, Jingle Village, Baba's Palace, Etc.
- Where Piccolo trained Gohan (run-ins with dinos?), where the battle with the saiyans took place (some leftover Saibamen might be fun. Goku could just ignore them because of their weakness, but then their acid might start leaking in (getting people wet)?)
- Where (future) Trunks took out Freeza and Cold. Maybe one of the minions survived and jumps Trunks and tries to steal the ship... which lasts a whole five seconds. XD
- Maybe try to fly up Karin's Tower, except Goku took the pole down to give it to Uub or Pan, so we get repelled.
- Maybe crash into Mr. Buu, making a splattery pink mess.
- A surviving Cell Jr comes after Mr. Satan / Goku for revenge, and we happen to be by both of them at the time. (Clearly, this Cell Jr doesn't know where to find Gohan, unless Gohan is with us). Fight happens, with our ship in the middle of it.
- Those Buu-splatters? The Cell Jr can fall into one of them and accidentally get absorbed (With no harm to Mr. Buu). Even more dramatic fight happens.
- End that fight with a Spirit Bomb. Not because it should be necessary, but because it'd involve audience participation, which is always nice.
- (For that matter, more audience participation would be neat, and I expect more people would appreciate it. I can't think of much of that, though; maybe something Dora the Explora-esque ("Where did he go?"), only ... a little less blatent. Something kids would love, but wouldn't make older riders feel patronized.)
Yeah. I'd still like to incorporate some of the missing members of the main cast, but overloading it might be a little too difficult.
(Lunch needs to do something!)
