I'm pretty sure we will get all the insert songs, except Saiyan Blood and News of the Cell Games.

They made the Android and Cell's Z theme Freeza's theme in Kai.

No, Nagasaki's just apparently not scoring the show based on whatever themes the arcs had previously. He's just using any music wherever he wants to.

Though, for whatever reason I've noticed, he's completely overusing the Movie 8 theme where Brolli dispels his excess ki I believe. The track that I'm thinking of also plays in the Buu arc after Goku finishes his first Super Saiyan 3 transformation in the series, as the camera slowly pans up, and you can only see his glowing hair.

I've seen the past two Toonzai episodes, and episode 96. He's used it in all three Kikuchi scored episodes I've seen, and I think it was actually freaking used twice in 96. What is with Nagasaki and this piece?

Nagasaki said he was a DB fan, but I started to doubt that he is after hearing his choices of the Kikuchi score. I know they don't have an access to the unreleased pieces and he has few choices, but his choice is always weird that none of people who have ever seen DBZ once at least would do.

The scoring doesn't seem to be all that badly done in 37 and 38, and 96 was almost a copy-paste of Z. I do question the use of the Piccolo theme as a recap theme though.

Any you guys hear about 4kids losing the rights to Yu-gi-oh? If they lose enough money from it they might have to cancel Toonzai as a block on TV.

Where'd you hear this? I'm curious, but if they cancel Toonzai, that would mean the biggest showcase of DB to an American audience would be crushed.

EDIT: Just read about it. Damn, 4kids should've been honest to the rights owners.

39 aired with Kikuchi's score, but here's where it gets odd 40 has both composers. It was mostly Kikuchi, but for a few minutes Yamamoto's score played, and Only A Chilling Elegy is kept again, but this time it's instrumental.

Here's the link to the story for everyone:

News: 4Kids Files Shareholders' Report on Yu-Gi-Oh! Lawsuit

Apparently the Yu-Gi-Oh DVD's that 4kids had FUNi distribute back in 2002 were illegal because 4kids wasn't telling the parent company about the profits they were making. FUNi isn't in trouble at all though because they simply just distributed (sold) the DVD's for 4kids, and had no knowledge of 4kids doing shady business.

I'd say the little bit of Yamamoto that slipped in was probably the fault of Funi's mix engineers. They were probably were in a rush to get the episode done for Toonzai and they forgot to replace that music with Kikuchi's score. The thing that get's me though is that if Funi has an instrumental of Only a Chilling Elegy why didn't they just dub it?

Part of me says laziness, the other part says there was a rights issue as in they're allowed to use it, but not dub it, it's likely that 4Kids told FUNi to give them an instrumental because they didn't want Japanese singing.

Understandable. The only reason I would of wanted it dubbed is for consistency, but I'll live because either way it's still a cool song.

39 and 40 aired.
Dende's death was chopped. His scream as the beam heads towards him is silenced, the explosion behind Vegeta is cut and his smoldering body is cut.

Only A Chilling Elegy had its Japanese vocals removed. This upsets me.

Uh, you sure the lyrics for A Chilling Elegy were removed on purpose?

They seem intact on the website's version....

It won't load for me. What is that exactly? The Toonzai version with the Japanese lyrics?

And yes, it was removed from the broadcast.

This accurate dub on Kikuchi action is getting me hot and bothered.

It had the vocals in 37, and I'm sure that 40 wouldn't be on the site that quickly, so it's likely 37 that the link linked to.

yeah, I was surprised to hear some Yamamoto music in this ep. Then I noticed that we had Cell saga and even Buu saga themes all over the place. Plus, why is the Piccolo theme used as the recap? it did kinda fit cause these episode were kinda about him, but not ALL the time... Honestly I would kinda like a Yamamoto/Kikuchi theme mix in the episodes, but only if it stays that way and this wasn't just a slip-up.

Also, why was Vegeta's theme used when Piccolo finally arrived?
