GT boxset on October 18th
Funi's making good on boxsets. The first DBGT boxset comes out in exactly one week from today. The boxset covers the entire "Lost Episodes" saga. Source = Z-store.
I guess that means they'll be doing 4 boxsets total for GT.

Trailer? Where? The Z-store has a pic of the boxset with "Lost Episodes" written on it.dim_sum_boy wrote:I thought they were releasing the Volume 1-5 in Baby Saga. Source= Goku Held Hostage's Trailer.

I hope it is. Maybe the Z-store needs to be updated; most of its upcoming releases are for the month of September. If they plan these pre-sales like 6 months ahead, they could have switched at the last minute. Or they're just not putting emphasis on the least popular boxset. When is the Baby boxset slated for? If it's November, then most likely they're just not promoting the "Lost" episodes.RC315 wrote:Why is it 5 discs only? Isn't the Baby saga 8 discs? The Lost Episodes box set is already out, well, at least the starter box. There is no need to release a different looking box with the Lost Episodes. By the looks of the box as seen from TRSI website, it seems like it's the Baby saga.

Z-Store royally fucked up. Originally it was a pic of chibi Goku that said "Lost Episodes" scribed over him, and gave no info as to what DVDs were in. Now it's got the right DVDs, but still the wrong cover and wrong release date. The boxset actually has a pic of Bebi (in nobody's body), and is already out. I could have gotten it yesterday but didn't have enough money on me at the time.Tsukento wrote:Doubt it's the "Lost Episodes" since the box shown for it everywhere shows that it involves the Bebi arc.
You're probably thinking of the "Lost Episodes" starter box which is just a box with a single DVD inside. o_oThe Z-store has a pic of the boxset with "Lost Episodes" written on it.

I already have most of GT on DVD after collecting the individual releases one by one. Is there anything to the Baby boxed sets that warrants re-purchasing volumes I already own, or is this another case where FUNimation just packs volumes together (after far too long a wait) without changing a thing?
I doubt anything has been changed, and even if it has I shouldn't really care if I already own the episodes in question . . . but even something so insignificant as new covers is going to piss me off, I fear.

Well, that's good to know . . . thanks, Mangaboss. I was ready to blow a nutty, but you've spared me the trouble.
Though I can't say I agree with you concerning the "uninspired" look of the FUNi boxes; they look fairly good on my shelf . . . even though it would be nice to see some original artwork decorating the boxes to go along with those high prices, as opposed to the collage of screenies and grabs we always get instead.

The only benefit to getting a FUNi boxset is that it's cheaper than buying its included discs individually. The box is only packaging to them, otherwise they'd simply saran-wrap a bunch of discs together.

I guess Funi is selling their DVDs by 5 per box, which would be 3 box sets since there are 15 volumes. DBGT Box set 2 with vol. 6-10 coming 2/21/06.

You're find a lot of stores are selling the individual discs for around the same price as the boxDayspring wrote:The only benefit to getting a FUNi boxset is that it's cheaper than buying its included discs individually.
