Gaming Setup

Post by TheLegendary117 » Wed Apr 06, 2011 12:46 pm

I don't know if this has been started yet but if not, this would be cool to see. Post your pictures of your gaming setup! I'm a die hard Halo fan but Dragonball wins all. These pictures are of my room, as you can tell, I love video games. I host LAN parties every weekend which is why I have all the xboxes and t.v's. As for the books, under the tables in some of the pictures, they are from the main basement area, we are painting and had no where else to put them. Thanks for looking and I can't wait to see everyone's setup!

Holy crap. Well I don't think anybody can top that setup in these forums. I feel claustrophobic just looking at these pictures.

As of right now, April 12, 2011, I have 17.
6 White with 20 GB hard drives
5 Black with 120 GB Hard Drvies
Limited Edition Modern Warfare 2 Box with 250 GB hard drive
Limited Edition Halo 3 with 20 GB Hard drive, 1 I'm using and 1 is still sealed
Limited Edition Halo Reach (Slim) with 250 GB Hard Drive, 1 I'm using and 1 is still sealed
Red Resident Evil 5 XBox 360 with 20 GB Hard Drive (I'm waiting on this one to show up)

:D The reason why I have so many is because I LOVE to host LAN parties. It makes life easier, for my guests, when all they have to bring is their hard drive, controller, and games. Want to see an example, the pictures below are the before and after from my most recent LAN party.

Come to think of it, I didn't see any N64 or Cube games. I take it they're boxed up.

 actually no. We did play Mario Party 1 and 2, Goldeneye, and Super Smash Brothers later that night when everyone was starting to tune down a bit and just kick back. NOTHING can ever replace the N64, best system ever

Here's what I've got. Note that by and far, this isn't my entire console collection. I don't have room to have everything hooked up at once, sadly.

Also: I'm pretty much a messy guy, so yeah... there's a Wonderswan Color buried somewhere in the third photo.

TheLegendary117, dayyyyyyyyyyyyyy-um, am I jealous of you! Freakin' SEVENTEEN Xbox 360s?! Are...are you rich?

Anyway, I don't really have a gaming set-up. I sold my Game Boys when I got a Game Boy Advance (didn't think I needed them after getting GBA, and needed cash, but nostalgia's a powerful thing), sold my PS1 when I got a PS2 (same thing as the Game Boys), my Mega Drive and PSP broke, so now I just have a PS2 and Xbox 360 in my living room, and a GBA in my bedroom. But I'm saving up to buy the Nintendo 3DS or the PSP's successor. Someday, if I became rich, I'm just gonna build up a collection of video games and consoles. That's my dream. :)

What? I had to look for the DragonBall items in your pictures. This really seems to be more about Halo and any other video game you decide to talk about.

I don't know if a thread talking about non-DragonBall games is gonna fly. I mean sure if you're talking about other games in passing but... it dosen't seem like that's what's happening. I'd actually like to see someone's DragonBall video game setup, if someone wants to post a pic of that....

I starting thinking about how much legendary's setup would cost to make...then my wallet started smoking and melted through the table.

Awesome setup, though.

No, I mean if this thread is about video game setups and showing off and talking about a bunch of different games (non-DragonBall games), I don't think it's gonna last long.

Eh, I think that there are quite a few gamers here (myself included). The problem is that most of us don't really have DB/Z themed gaming seutps. For example, I've got hundreds of games, multiple systems, and some game related merchandise. Some of those games are even DB games. If I posted pictures, though, nobody would say, "Damn! What a Dragon Ball gaming dream come true!" They'd probably just say something along the line of, "Huh, this dude plays various games. I can tell he's a Final Fantasy fan." I'd love to see some cool Dragon Ball gaming setups. I'm aware of various DBZ skins, accessories, even actual electronics & furniture. Without something like that, though, I think that the regulars around here are having a tough time justifying a picture of our setup. For most of us, posting our sorta-kinda-not-really-though "DB" gaming setup would likely fall into off topic territory. I think that the thread is a decent idea, it's just that it's difficult to find a setup that's truly Dragon Ball themed.
