Not to mini-mod but, jjgp, stop putting up all those fucking screencaps. I swear, everytime I go on a page with your screencaps I have to wait for them all to load just so I can see the new post on the page. You don't need to put all those screencaps on the page. We get it. You like to screencap but it's pretty annoying when I have to wait for like 15 of them to load. The Dragon Box looks good, cool, but I don't understand why we need like 80 caps a Dragon Box thread to see them. Why don't you just post them when you're making a comparison.
P.S. Or are you just making so much to compensate for a certain something?

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Just ordered mine from Right Stuf, even paid for the 2 day shipping option. Hoping to get it on Monday. I was going to wait but I figured I'd get it now and try to cram in watching it between now and when I need to begin studying for exams, rather than wait until release date and get stuck trying to watch it when I need to be studying.

TonyTheTiger wrote:Are we absolutely certain about that? Not doubting it as likely but consider what TV broadcasts were like circa 1990. HD it ain't. I wonder if it's possible that the animators intentionally chose some "off" colors because they knew that when displayed on TV it would appear as they wanted it to. So when you go back to the cels, the paint they did use looks strange by comparison.
That's so true. People in charge of colour coordination chose very deep colours because they would look dull on a film. But now the master films are aged and faded, so we cannot know the exact colours how they should've looked. Today, the original colour coordinations and cels are the absolute canons, and refering to them is the only way to confirm the primary colours. They are neither exactly how the producers wanted them to look on a TV nor that "off" unlike the DBOX footage. They are more correct than the DBOXes anyway.

Gotta say that there's some fridge brilliance with the redder skin tones considering most of the time we see these guys they're in situations that actually would result in a flushed appearance.
That does seem like a stretch.

Just curious, but isn't illegal to post the entire episode online... in frames? Seriously, what is up with all the screen-caps? I would expect people to understand the DBox is a quasi-perfect release, but to cream your pants over every volume?

In any case, looking forward to getting it in two weeks from Amazon. I am a patient man and the free delivery day shipping is always good. Amazon Prime FTW!

Both... Goku's yellow hair was used in the NEP, but in the actual episode, the people done goofed and made his hair black.

Pretty sure it was intentional, to hide Goku's Super Saiyan form from Paikuhan. That's why he's surprised later at the Anoyoichi Budokai when Goku transforms.

I don't think he would even have to use the Kaioken for that.

I'm surprised that no one compared the disc art to the original Dragon Boxes. Well, anyone can just go onto Kanzentai themselves and compare. :P

It looks like they didn't use Future Trunks and Mr. Satan for the discs.

And swapped it around so that SS2 Gohan is after SS Goku and Cell instead of before them.

I hope they use Goten and Trunks on the first disc for DBoxZ 6. :D

I would say this shot in particular really shows how aged the film is. Look at Gohan's hair, it's almost become a shade of red. Of course I would say that is preferred to crushed blacks, but this isn' too pleasing either.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Actually it's slightly reddish. Very slightly, though.

That is ironic coming from you. But seriously you are my Japanese DBZ Dragonbox hero! Thanks.
