Ma Junior filler
Could someone provide some descriptions/explanations of the filler scenes involving Ma Junior's childhood during the three years before the 23rd Tenka'ichi Budôkai, his training and that scene that, if not mistaken, has God ask Piccolo to become his successor because he senses that he's changed?

Re: Ma Junior filler
I just happened to watch those episodes, so I'll do my best to answer them for you.
An old couple in a cabin (but with a very huge TV) finds the Ma Junior egg floating down a river. Well, specifically the old lady does. And they think that God has sent them a child. The egg cracks open, and they see the child inside. The next time it cuts to them, they're watching their house burn down.
I believe the next scene is when Ma Junior stumbles upon a family celebrating their young son's birthday party. Ma gazes in jealously through the window before throwing a rock through the window. He comes in, trashes the places, and runs out through the back door. The family dog runs out after him. Ma trips. The dog lunges. But Ma uses ki to blast the dog away.
In another one, Ma is walking through some kind of animal reserve, apparently killing the animals. Two soldiers confront him and see that it's just a kid and try to get him to return to his parents. Ma breaks the gun barrel and walks away.
Finally, a crew member of a fishing boat wakes up to see Ma standing in the middle of the ocean, using ki blast to catch and eat fish. And then he sinks the boat.

My favorite one was the scene where he comes across the house with the birthday celebration. There were a lot of emotions involved there. I wonder where the manga was at that point?

I've been meaning to ask this question for a while now. Why is Ma Junior all grown up in only 3 years? Does that make any sense?

It could be because he was a member of the Demon Clan, or that Warrior-type Namekians naturally grow fast to get to their adult bodies quicker.SSVegetto wrote:I've been meaning to ask this question for a while now. Why is Ma Junior all grown up in only 3 years? Does that make any sense?

I'm pretty sure Raditz first showed up right around the time that Goku travels back in time to see Mutaito. So these scenes would be right around the end of the Tenkaichi Budoukai/beginning of Saiya-jin arc.Michsi wrote:My favorite one was the scene where he comes across the house with the birthday celebration.
