Could you wish away God & Piccolo's life link?

Post by Piccolo Daimao » Sun Apr 24, 2011 1:30 pm

Could you break the life link between God and Piccolo using the Dragon Balls? Or would it be beyond Shenlong's power, as both God and Piccolo would be stronger than Shenlong? Or flat-out impossible, since one half of a body cannot live without the other?

That's a good question, imo i could see shenron doing something like forcibly re-joining Piccolo and Kami if they made a wish like that.

Very good question. Kami-sama told Son Goku they could do that but he was clearly bullshitting the entire time since he planned on dying and the dragon balls couldn't be used if he was dead. I don't actually think this can be done since you'd think Kami-sama would have tried to do this sooner or later if it were possible.

Probably not.

That would certainly exceed Kami's abilities(at least when messing with Piccolo Jr. and stuff).

More importantly... I'd like to think Kami would know if his own creation was capable of doing that or not. Since he never did it, I assume he couldn't. It would have saved him and Popo quite a bunch of headaches when Piccolo Daimao was around.

I'd have to say no to this. Shenlong's power is derived from God in some way shape or form, though how exactly seems wishy washy. I'd say it's far enough beyond his abilities that it's just flat out not possible.

Agreed that this would be beyond Shenlong's abilities. I mean a person can wish for immortality and thus change their very nature. However perhaps the creator of a set of dragonballs is limited in what they can wish for concerning their own person. I would imagine that this would not be possible for the creator or "host" for the dragonballs as it would change their nature and disrupt the very link to them. Then again my theory is not viable as King Piccolo managed to wish for his youth to be restored. So the whole wishing away the link between the two was probably beyond Shenlong's power for one reason or another. Perhaps it was actually impossible to completely purge oneself of their evil. Kami created another being that personified his evil half so physically they were seperated and they had seperate minds (thus spirits in the afterlife) yet that link was impossible to sever completely without the destruction of both halves (i.e. the whole being in existence).
