Piccolo vs Semi Perfect Cell

Everybody on this forum but me goes by the manga (IIRC,) thus I was pointing this out since nobody else here considers filler to be "canon." Is there a problem?

Anyway, Piccolo was still seen fighting the Cell Junior after Cell had given the order to kill the Z-Senshi. He would've died eventually, though. IMO, Piccolo was a noticeable step below Super Saiyan Vegeta and Future Trunks, but was still more or less in the same range (basically, he is what Yamcha was to Tien and Kuririn through out the majority of the series, including the Cell-Games).

The fact that Piccolo even suggested that he could fight Perfect Cell shows that he would stomp his Semi form with ease, methinks.

I also think Piccolo could win this.
In the manga Vegeta, Trunks and Piccolo were the only ones who could keep up the Cell Jr.s to some extent. But I thing they all would've died eventually, seeing as how Vegeta, who was probably third strongest, said that the Cell Jr. were too strong.

You didn't just point it out, or at least ask if he, just like you, was an anime guy. You pulled out the filler card in an attempt to refute his argument (which doesn't fit your personal view) when he posted a scan from the anime as evidence. Maybe, just maybe, he goes by the anime as well. If you completely agreed with him, would you still point it out? I kinda doubt that.

Well he's new to this place and from what I know everybody here goes by the manga and doesn't consider stuff from the Anime to be canon. Thus I felt like pointing it out. I admit I was in the wrong at least somewhat but despite being an Anime guy, I try to at least say something like "in an Anime only scene blah blah blah" when I bring up filler and/or Anime-only statements as I am a minority here in considering it canon. If I agreed with him I'd still mention it was Anime-only.

The Anime is very inconsistent with that part anyway. They have Piccolo doing better than anyone at first then they show him face-first on the ground with his eyes closed while Vegeta and Trunks are standing up, then they show him standing up while Vegeta is on the ground. It really is a pick-and-choose-what-you-like-more situation to be honest. The Vegeta and Piccolo alternating between being on the ground and standing up with minor damage things occur one after another despite there being no fighting at all going on between them. As if Piccolo was simply taking a nap out of sheer boredom before and Vegeta just randomly collapsed from a heart attack or something.

Oh yeah, this is what I wanted to point out too. The manga almost completely ignors Piccolo in the fight against Cell and the only clear indicator about his performance we have is this chapter cover where he is shown standing together with Trunks and Vegeta while everyone is out cold. He doesn't seem worse of than Vegeta of Trunks. Also the scene where he notices Gohan turning SSJ2 he standing and fighting.

He looks far more worn down and exhausted. Vegeta and Trunks are looking off at Son Gohan while Piccolo looks like he's ready to collapse IMO.

Seriously???? Well if that's your oppinion then there is nothing I could do to change it since this it's highly subjective how one may interpret what he sees and I see no visual indicator that makes him look like "he is ready to collapse". He isn't sweating more, he isn't bleeding more. If anything he looks angry and determined while Vegeta and Trunks look scared and worried. I know that Trunks and Vegeta are stronger than him but if the fight against Cell Jr. is any indicator then it shows that not by THAT much.

He won't listen to any reason whatsoever, and like you probably noticed, he keeps repeating and repeating the exact same thing regardless of what you post, and his little ">>>>>" chains won't stop. It's just pointless.

- Goku saying Piccolo had improved greatly: Okay, so? There's still a huge gap between pre-RoSaT Piccolo and Semi-Perfect Cell...
- Piccolo hitting the Cell kid in that one panel: This can't be proven as you can't see exactly what is going on. Kirby456 will not realize this. He's adamant that it's clear that Piccolo is clocking the Cell kid (he'll tell you "zoom in zoom in youll see!!").

Anyway, I think Piccolo would do somewhat well, but ultimately I think he'd lose.
