Looks like a halfway-competent bootleg to me. Such a product was never released.

That's what I figured but I had also figured that the staff would be smart enough to recognize that. One of the guy's, who works there, is really intelligent with anime DVD's so I wasn't sure. I thought maybe it was a limited release like the "Dragonball Z Uncut" DVD's were before it stopped and went to the Remastered Seasons

That's actually some pretty good-looking stuff for a bootleg. But I think some of the key indicators is the immature-sounding tagline of Uncut Perfect Edition and the fact that everything seems to be labeled "King Piccolo Saga" even though most of the pictures come from a much earlier part of the series.

Ya, the picture with the 4 disks, the background pictures are from the actual DVD covers from different saga's.

For a bootlegs those sets actually look pretty nice. Kind of lame that someone probably got away with selling these to the store though.
Trans rights, now!

So everyone is saying bootleg? If anyone finds anything on these that MIGHT make them legit, let me know

There's... nothing to say about it. They were never made like this. No official products like this exist. There's no company logos on them. They aren't legit.

Ok, I guess it's a good thing I didn't buy them then

You should probably tell the store it's a bootleg. If they don't care, just take a pen and write BOOTLEG on the back of it. We don't want uninformed Dragonball fans to buy bootlegs.

Must be a newbie at SunCoast today. I did actually call to tell them and the guy said they weren't bootleg because he was able to scan them into their system to see that they are, in fact, legit DVD's.....

As others have said, those are definitely bootlegs. I see them on ebay all the time.

Ya, I can definitely see that now, comparing them to the real ones.

I actually have one of those bootlegs, and it doesn't even contain the King Piccolo Saga. It contains the uncut Emperor Pilaf Saga that Funimation could not release until recently. The seller claimed that it was an official release of the King Piccolo Saga Part 2, but once it arrived in the mail it became clear that it was indeed a bootleg (and didn't even have the right title).

I'm going to try and find the time to go back this week and show them that they are bootlegs and see if maybe I can take them off their hands for free. We will wait and see

Even if you convince them that it's a bootleg, I doubt they'll give it to you for free. Bring a pen

I have both of those bootleg DVD sets as well. I wonder if I can buy more from eBay and dupe my FYE too...
