I doubt the Kikuchi re-score will have perfect music selection, but I really enjoyed myself watching episode 96. I enjoyed it more than I've enjoyed Kai in a long time.

So, yes. While it's not a top priority for me, I'm somewhat inclined to finally buy Kai down the road if it gets released with the Kikuchi score.

Yes, you're right. We will all have some nitpicks if Kai does get re-released with Kukichi's score. Since the BGM change was rushed, there will be some screw-ups on Nagasaki's part.
So mondo lame.

I finally coped with this. I loved the nagasaki handled with this episode. But I'm still sad for yamamoto's amazing music :S If they atleast could wait until my favorite piece were released "Creature of Marvel - Orchestra version).... :S SSJ2 theme is also, wharever what anyone says, a great musical piece, it has too much hate because it was played at gohan ssj2 transformation... and people need to complain Every now and then lol

I really got into episode 96 partly because of the music, so, I think I'm OK with them switching back over to the Kikuchi score. I enjoyed it.

I just really, really hope that episode 98 actually airs. It'd be awful if it didn't and I would not put it past Toei to skip it and make it DVD-exclusive to try and sell more copies of that last set.
On hiatus.

So I was just browsing around, and I get the feeling that Toei is already starting to phase out their previous Kai releases. On their own shop site, they no longer have any listings for Kai DVDs or Blu-rays. And a few DVD volumes (#8, #17) appear to be out of print at Amazon. The other DVD and Blu-ray volumes all have very low stock (only 1 left in many cases, as of this writing), so I have a feeling there will be even more soon.

Jinzouningen/Cell #7 and #8 also appear to have been delayed until May 3rd (they were originally scheduled for April 2nd), according to both Amazon and CD Japan, but I'd assume that could also be due to shipment issues related to the disaster. I suppose the same could be true for the stock of the older volumes, but if I were someone that wanted to collect the Yamamoto versions, I wouldn't hesitate to scoop them up.

This is just great. Now I don't feel like buying the Kai Blu Rays at all if they replace the score completely. I mean, I love Kikuchi's score, but I don't think it would fit Kai because of the way it's presented. Man, what a bummer.Even having the first four sets with Yamamoto's score is screwed up if the next ones wouldn't have it. FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU-

Personally, I wouldn't. I guess I just don't really care much for Kikuchi's score. Then again, I'd rebuy the whole Kai series if they included the Faulconer score (with many of the same tracks, but arranged better, i.e. with silence and getting rid of the silly, nonsense tracks that plagued it during the Cell and Buu arcs).
I sure as hell wouldn't double dip. I like the current music track on it now. I'll miss it to be honest if FUNi replaces it with Kikuchi.
