That Goku card is awesome! I'm really jealous of the japanese people now.

Oh, OK. It was in a French forum where someone said that it was Mystic Goku. That person is the one that always seems to translate and be aware of the information in that game. This is why the card itself has a question mark in the circle meant to show what can be transformed into, because you can't very well show a full circle of two forms. The decision to use the black haired Super Saiyan-like form from Goku versus the Ginyu Force in Hell is likely a way to avoid showing just what Goku can transform into as well, since you can't really put SS and SS2 in a single image.HECTOR4 wrote:No, is Goku with his power unlocked.

Because the card's effect involves transforming I'd assume it's just Goku mid-transformation. It may not of been but a lot of people wouldn't of read the follow-ups like you have and would keep this as true. This card is going to cause so many problems, I can already see it (though none your fault)HECTOR4 wrote:Oh, OK. It was in a French forum where someone said that it was Mystic Goku. I really do like this card though, might pick it up. Is it obtained the normal ol' way or from V-Jump or something?

Lol, that's why I said he was starting one, though it is the card's fault...or at least the artists. It isn't a big deal if a misconception arises at the beginning (especially because of a language barrier), but once the correct info is revealed and people don't double check, that is when the problems fly out of control. I'm really hoping this got nipped in the butt and the correct info washes away "Ultimate Goku" (why Ultimate Goku instead of the quasi SS thing from the Goku vs. the Ginyu Force in Hell? It looks exactly like it. lol), that's all I need is people like the Youtube crowd trying to throw this around as god knows what. Even though I never read the comments there, the false info that is born there always finds its way to a place like this eventually. =PJaruka wrote:Because the card's effect involves transforming I'd assume it's just Goku mid-transformation. As for the card, I dunno. I don't see a McDonalds logo, or anything from V-Jump, so maybe it is just a new card for the next installment. It is, I just double checked. It should be in the next set since the card number is H4-09, which is the system the regular cards use, the promos us stuff like PB-03 or H3-CP2.
ALSO, I noticed something...another new character? The three female Saiyans all have black hair. This image of Goku, as a Super Saiyan, seems to have a female member on the team, and she appears to have reddish-orange hair. She's on the top next to the Dragon Ball, above Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta and Bardock:

His name is Akina and looks like a caricature of a celebrity in Japan. On the drawing style seems drawn by Toriyama himself. But surely it´s a special card that works like Hero Avatar Card (so, as the Hero's card).

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Okay so, where do you actually buy the cards for this game? I know Yahoo Auctions Japan, but that's all kinds of hassle. At least for a few cards it is, anyway.
If I just want a couple cards, what's the best place online to get them from?
Preferably somewhere that I don't have to pay customs or crazy extra fees that comes with importing most stuff. Shipping costs for a few cards shouldn't be that much, right? I mean, all you need is an envelope, right?
I feel I might be asking too much, but it never hurts to ask!

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Actually, SS3 Vegetto would look like SS3 Goku with earrings. SS3 Gogeta would look like SS3 Goku with a widow's peak, although the bang should still be left over, so Gogeta ends up also very similar to SS3 Goku.TheDevilsCorpse wrote: I'm honestly surprised Gogeta or Vegetto haven't gotten the form yet, since both characters that create the fusions now "officially" have the transformation. Either one of them would have made more sense than Broli or Trunks, not that I'm complaining, I like SS3. I do hope they avoid giving the form to Gohan though, as his version of SS3 would look identical to Goku (unless they remove his bang...but even Trunks kept his tiny ones).
Now, SS3 Gohan would probably have apparently less hair over his head, but his face (and the bang, which should still be there) would make him Goku.
The only way I can think of for them to distinct the characters would be changing/removing bangs.
I wish they added SS2 forms before going for SS3.

I'm well aware of the guidelines for what they would look like, I've done my fair share of drawing fan art of them. lol (No I didn't use the Multiverse version on purpose for people wondering, because I don't think he'd look that way. If Trunks can keep his tiny tiny bangs in SS3, Vegetto can keep his. lol)hleV wrote:Actually, SS3 Vegetto would look like SS3 Goku with earrings. The design isn't the issue for anyone but Gohan. Most of the new SS3 characters have hair almost exactly like Goku's except for the forehead area (bangs, hair line, occasionally the front few spikes), though Vegeta's is pretty different because it has to be. The problem is Gohan is Goku's son, and already has the one bang set up, meaning placing SS3 Goku's head on Gohan's body in whatever costume for the game would result in it being a SS3 Gohan without any alterations needed. They'd already have the same bang, the hairline, etc. It'd be pointless IMO, as if Goku is trying to cosplay as his son. lol Wouldn't even have to change clothes if Gohan gains a card with the Goku dogi cosutme. =P We could guess that Gohan might have shorter hair than Goku or something, but I don't see why he would. Everyone else has hair down to the butt, even Gotenks, who has a similar hair style to Gohan. They could also take his bang away, but he'd look kinda odd, though if they were going to give him the form and I had to choose a difference, I'd probably take the no bang version.
At least for a SS3 Vegetto or Gogeta they would look different enough, the outfit and the slight hair difference, rather bang or hairline, would be enough to not make it feel like a Goku clone.
Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Well, I doubt anyone in SS2 form would have two "main bangs" left, let alone SS3.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:I'm well aware of the guidelines for what they would look like, I've done my fair share of drawing fan art of them. lol (No I didn't use the Multiverse version on purpose for people wondering, because I don't think he'd look that way. SS2 kid Gohan has 1 main bang.
SS2 Goku has 1 main bang and a few over ears. SS3 Goku has the main bang left.
Even non-canon SS3 Broli only has 1 main bang, which was probably based on Goku.
Basically SS3 pretty much guarantees that there's only 1 main bang is left at most, because Goku has a lot of bangs in base (perfect example) and only 1 in SS3 form. I don't really agree with SS3 Trunks having 2 little bangs, because they're in his base and SS1 forms too. Don't know if it's worth mentioning, but when Trunks had long hair, he only had 1 little bang as a SS. Either the one(s) responsible for Trunks SS3's design didn't take the 1-bang-as-SS3-rule into account or Trunks earthling-kind of hair in base has something to do with it.
This is how I look at it:
Vegetto:
- base: 2 main bangs;
- SS: 2 main bangs;
- SS2: 1 main bang (on the left);
- SS3: 1 main bang (on the right).
- base: 1 main bang;
- SS: 1 main bang;
- SS2: 1 main bang;
- SS3: 1 main bang (side doesn't change to right as it's on the right by default).
- base: 1 main bang and 1 small bang (on the left);
- SS: 1 main bang (and 1 small bang if taking pre-tournament Gohan) (on the left);
- SS2: 1 main bang (on the left);
- SS3: 1 main bang (on the right).
- base: 2 main small bangs;
- SS: 2 main small bangs (1 on the left side, if long hair);
- SS2: 1 small bang (on the left) or none;
- SS3: 1 small bang (on the right) or none.
Lovin' this discussion.
So, Vegetto is shorter than Goku? Never though of that.
Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Well, Vegeta is pretty short (even though Movie 12 has us believe that he's as tall as Goku since they can do the Fusion Dance), so maybe that means Vegetto ends up somewhere in-between Goku and Vegeta's heights.
But why would Gohan need SSJ3 anyway? He has his Ultimate form which is better because it doesn't drain your energy.

I wonder if we can make a rule that if Saiyan has long hair, a small bang is pushed up in SS1 form (not all of them, 1 may still be there).
- Gohan had 1 normal and 1 small bang in base and SS1 forms before tournament. After a month (I doubt he had a haircut during that time, apparently he had more hair grown on the back side of his head) during the tournament we see him with 1 bang as a SS1 only.
- Trunks had 2 small bangs as SS1 with short hair, but only 1 of them left once he went out of the ROSAT having long hair.

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
There aren't enough examples to say anything is set in stone, so there are no rules for how many bangs a character has to have in a form like you think. 3 Characters reach Super Saiyan 2 in the story and actually show it off, Vegeta doesn't even have bangs, so he's pointless to include. This goes double for SS3, as we only have 2 canon characters with the form, and once again, Gotenks lacks bangs to begin with. So the only two characters in either form to display the "one main bang rule" are related by blood, which is hardly evidence for anything. For example, just because a guy and his father go bald at 25 doesn't mean everyone goes bald at 25. The "one main bang" thing might be a Son family trait for all we know. Maybe Vegeta's family would keep all their bangs (although smaller and sharper, if they have any at all), and that would explain why Trunks doesn't lose his. There simply isn't enough data to come to a valid conclusion.hleV wrote:Well, I doubt anyone in SS2 form would have two "main bangs" left, let alone SS3.

Frankly, I loved DBM's Vegetto and always thought that that's how SS2 Vegetto should look like, even before I saw DBM's SS2 Vegetto. But when some guy commented something like "Where's that epic single bang SS2s have?" I realized that if a Saiyan has 1 or more main bangs as SS1, he keeps one of them as SS2.
Lovin' this discussion.
So, Vegetto is shorter than Goku? Never though of that.
Since there is no set rule, the characters who obtain the form outside the original series can have however many bangs they want. Broli probably got 1 because they based him off Goku, Vegeta doesn't have bangs and Trunks has a completely different style of hair. There is nothing wrong with diversity in appearance. I don't get why anyone would want all the SS2s and SS3s to look like each other anyway.
I don't know if Vegetto is actually supposed to be shorter than Goku, but it makes me sense to me that he is. He should be somewhere in between Vegeta and Goku in height IMO, not that it means a whole lot since the Daizenshuu's size charts have Gotenks being like a head taller than Goten and Trunks.
Doubtful, Kid Trunks started off before the Tournament with no bangs as SS, and after the Tournament he actually gained a bang. lolhleV wrote:I wonder if we can make a rule that if Saiyan has long hair, a small bang is pushed up in SS1 form (not all of them, 1 may still be there).

Of course Toriyama probably just designed them randomly or for them to look better, but I think it's possible to make a rule out of that.
I think it's funny how Trunks is always finding ways to screw with your rules. xD I think he has it out for you.

The official DB Heroes site fixed their video section, so we can now access a couple of videos that were put up a while back, but unable to be viewed. One of these videos is the full version of brand new commercial featuring new Goku vs. Freeza animation with the male and female Saiyan Heroes tagging along for the ride. Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Seems we've hit a bit of a dry spell. For a while there, we had updates almost everyday, most of the time revealing something new/interesting, at least in my opinion. I wonder if this game has just about run its course? They've covered the Saiyan, Freeza, Cell and Buu arcs now. Sure they've skipped some of the characters, but unless they go back to revist the previous arcs to introduced the skipped characters (like Buu's forms besides fatty), their only choice would be to venture into movie territory...which has kinda been done as well with #13 and a few of the others.
Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
I wonder if they'll do a home version once the arcade game has run its course. It seems like it could work on 3DS (or the WiiU, I suppose, but the graphics would look pretty laughable next to the rest of its lineup.)
