Ugh, when I bought Part 1 on Blu-ray, it cost somewhere around $30 on Amazon... Maybe I should have waited a bit.

I just bought it yesterday after saying that I wouldn't buy even one of these Blu-Rays because of the impending music score change, but I was like "what the heck". 15 bucks is a good bargain after all.

Uh-oh. I'm having the urge to buy those 2 sets even after I JUST bought both Walmart DVD Bundles. Is it really worth buying the blu-ray versions if I already have the DVD versions? This is a good deal! Somebody please save my wallet!

I honestly like the DVDs more than the Blu-rays. The packaging on the Blu-rays are delicate and easy to damage, the DVD packaging, in my opinion, is better. Also, the audio is quite annoying sometimes, sometimes it echoes, notably in the opening/ending themes, and I like the DVD's Stereo track more. The Blu-rays are a good release and very cheap at the moment, but, from now on, I might stay away from them and focus on getting the DVDs.

Why does part 2 cost $40? Is there something special about that particular volume?

I already ordered parts 1-4 on Blu-Ray a couple days ago , it still hasn't arrived yet, but it is a great deal.

My guess is that 2 seems to be on the rare-er side. Seems to be not as much availability when it comes to part 2. But then again the blu-ray part 2 is only like 5~6 more bucks, so it isn't that much more.

None are rare yet as they're not OOP, and they haven't changed or done a reprinting with the new (old) musical score.
It's just Amazon must of had a good deal of their suppliers on part 1 and 3 because they must of had surplus stock.

I already had 1, but I picked 3 up at this price along with two.
And YES, It has the Yamamoto score! I get the Freeza scenes with Only a Chilling Elegy!

Now I just gotta get Part 4, HURRY UP AND DROP ITS PRICE TOO!!

I still haven't received my Part 1 Blu-Ray so I can test it on my European PS3. And it seems time is really running out.
I want to get everything up to Part 4 with the Yamamoto score. Amazon is raising prices slowly again... I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that these sets no longer have the Yamamoto score?

They work on EU PS3's I've bought them, Amazon are raising prices because their suppliers have, if you want them for roughly £16 check out play.com playtrade, there's sellers on there, "Lookatmusic" "supermartUSA" "Moviemars" that all list them around that. Best experience from the first seller.

Oh, that sounds great. Thanks for the info. I've asked other people around if they work on EU PS3's, but I've always wanted to see it with my own eyes before spending a large amount of money. Right then, I guess depending on the salary this month, I'll be getting the rest of them... hopefully.
