When Exactly Will The Dragon Boxes Become Limited?

I've given it some considerable thought and I've decided to upgrade to the Dragon Boxes, only because I have the necessary tools to rip the dub score from the season sets and splice it together with the DBox footage. It'll no doubt take a while, but I'm for it.

As the thread title asks, though, when exactly will the DBoxes become limited? Are we talkin' like, just a few months after the last volume's release, or way, way down the line?

Answer : No one knows, but it'll be like the steelbooks is my guess, one day you wake up and a store stops stocking a volume, then the next day another store, followed by another, then there eventually ebay is your only option, where you have to pay ridiculous amounts of money.

I don't know about FYE but my local Best Buy had volume 1 in stock only up until recently. It seemed to be the most common one, and probably for good reason.

My local FYE has a couple copies of box 1 and box 5. Haven't been to Best Buy lately, though, so I don't know the story on that.

Last couple times I've been in my Best Buy they've only had 1 and 4.

I think getting the first two are the most important, mostly because they're the only uncut 4:3 release of those episodes.

I don't get you guys. What's the problem in buying it online? As far as I know, all the major stores (Amazon included) have them in stock and you can buy them at anytime and I suppose it will be like this some years afar at the very least.

I don't get them upon release. I got volumes 2 and 3 for $24 a piece when Best Buy was doing a special on them. Volume 1 I got later from Amazon for the same price. And since I frequent my local Best Buy I tend to notice their products on at least a month to month basis.

We're not against it, it's just that once stores stop selling them, getting them online will be the only way, and they truly will be limited.

Regardless, I'd pick em all up ASAP. That's what I'm doing anyways, I don't want to wait and wait only to find out that they become as rare as some of the steel books became with time. If you have the chance to buy em, do it!

Who knows when the 7th box will come out. On Dragon Ball Wikia it says September 6, 2011, but I think that’s too early. I can see it coming out some where between October 2011 and January 2012.

You should be able to, I just got the first 2 boxes this year.
