Everything but his sliced bits were kept, him actually getting cut in half was kept though.

Shots like this were kept in:

(Sorry for the poor quality, I found it on Google images.)
But this one was cut, which is the shot depicted on the cover for 'Part 5':

Well It's not like Nicktoons make advetisements for the Kai DVDS...because they are uncut. So maybe that's why?

And Episode 13 of The Big O WAS the last episode of The Big O, then Cartoon Network co-funded another 13 episodes when Japan wasn't going to continue.

But, for now, we can say it is final, until one/more of the dubbing companies decide they could get good money from funding Buu Saga Kai-ified (or, they could just take the Dragon Box footage, and make their own, English only Kai).

Wasn't it also cut on Toonami when it originally aired?

I didn't even realize they were this far into Kai, hahaha.

And I'm sorry...but I'm getting really sick of how much that channel shows "Avatar".

What's to stop them from making their own series that covers Buu and isn't named "Kai"? HmmmMmMmmmMmmmMmmmMMMMmmmMMmmMm?!

I'm pushing it, I know, but I don't think it's over til it's over.

Sorry, but what in the world does Nicktoons calling it the final chapter of Kai have to do with anything? I sincerely doubt that know whether or not Toei is going to continue with the Buu saga.

They're probably just going by the info FUNimation gave them. Like "this is the last batch of episodes we've got."

There's still a chance for Toei to continue the series in some form.

Just a reminder, or if no one was aware...

There is a DragonBall Z Kai marathon tomorrow (5/30) on Nicktoons running from 10:00AM to 09:30PM. It will air episodes 42 through 64!

I'm contrary. I absolutely love it. That's coming from someone who was totally ok with Meredith.

Wow, the music placement in this episode damn near gave me an ulcer.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

So, I'm liking #18's voice and the music didn't really bother me at all! The new take on #16 is something I need to hear more of, but I'm confident that it's good.

That episode was actually the first Kai episode with Kikuchi bgm which I thought was well done. I still hope that for the DVDS they use a revised Yamato score as opposed to Kikuchi.

Well heck, after what Nicktoons put the fans of that show through when it aired Season 3, it seems like a good way of making up for it. I mean, after the end of Season 2, they made their fans wait for like nine and a half months before they finally aired the first half of Season 3, then made them wait ANOTHER six and a half months before they would finally air the rest of Season 3.

It almost sounds like just compensation to me.

Gero's death wasn't as badly censored as it might have been. They may have clipped out 17 impaling his torso (Though you can still see the damage if you freeze frame) but atleast they kept in his head flying through the air. Overall, not too bad.
