This looks too much like Raging Blast, dang. I was hoping for DB Zenkai. :(

Still in doubt?

Yes. I know what it looks to me. To me it looks like a HD ps2 game. In fact worse than some HD ps2 games. E.g GOW collection. To me the games look horrible compared to modern games. Sorry if you don't agree. To me they look poor. Even some Wii games beat it.
I don't see how you can compare two COMPLETELY different games on two different consoles. The intro to MGS3 definitely does not look better than Raging Blast 1 or 2's openings. The graphics to both RB1 and RB2 are also definitely any Wii or PS2 game, so I don't see how you can say that they both look like PS2 games. Hell, even Raging Blast 2's graphics beats Burst Limit's graphics. So I'll just say this, if you don't like the Tenkaichi / Raging Blast series, that's okay, but don't whine about it here, because no one wants to hear it.

Why did nobody pick up that he posted a cinematic and not a gameplay video? By that logic Raging Blast 2's opening are the actual graphics for the game :lol:

I don't see how RB2 looks like a PS2 game? The graphics are way more colorful, sharper, and nicer looker then any PS2 game. Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, MGS3, and RE4 on the PS2 look nowhere as good looking IMO.

That's why I said HD ps2 games in one post.. Look on ps3. There are a few "HD Remakes" The best example is God of war. God of war 1 + 2 = unscaled ps2 games. They look okay and are HD. The graphics on them seem better that RB 1 or RB 2.

Now I used god war as an example for reason you can tell it's ps2 graphics up scaled. Then play God of War 3. It looks completely better. Very much Improved. Built for Ps3.

RB 1 and RB 2 look like Tenkaichi 3 up scaled. They don't look like current generation titles. It wouldn't surprise me if they were as you can tell the makers of it are lazy.

Oh that's what you meant, I sorta agree now, not entirely but sorta.

Thing is they did re-do the models though, I have all the collector's editions and they show the process of making a model, the RB ones are far, far more complex. Looking through them does make me miss Raging Blast's graphics though...

Well for me Tenkaichi 2 and 3 where and still are the best DBZ games that Spike put out. The only good that came out of Raging Blast 1 and 2 was that you could customize the supers and the fact that they added variety to how you did them and over just that they added more supers to the characters. I also liked that they took the liberty of combining most of the variations of the characters though I'm still waiting to have only ONE Vegeta and ONE Boo saga Gohan. The team attacks were cool too but there should have been waaaaay more than what they gave us.

Quite honestly ALL of the current gen DB console games have been half assed. I'm still eager to see the trailer for this game however.

I can't agree with that. RB looks extremely better than an "unscaled BT3". That's like saying Burst Limit is an unscaled Budokai. RB's graphics are on a whole other level than BT's.

Really? Now that's odd because I prefer the Raging Blast series to the Tenkaichi series.

The team attacks were amazing! I was playing the second game after getting hyped up by this and every time it happened (usually by accident) I would have this big smile across my face! :lol:

A few elements in the games prove to me that Spike is a competent developer and I really do fear Namdai holds them back

Yeah, I was about to mention how that's all pre-rendered stuff that looks nothing like the actual game...

I wonder if this will be some kind of co-production between EA and Activision. Now THOSE are some companies that are EXPERTS in beating the last few drops of blood out of a dead horse...

Seriously, the cycle...

Why would they have anything to do with this?

Well when ever I do play a DBZ game currently it is RB2 only because its the new one (yeah I know I'm kinda contradicting myself) but its still far from the best DBZ game. Even though I said what I said about Tenkaichi 2 and 3 I havent played those in a while, the last time I played BT3 it felt really out dated but as a sequel it's loads better than RB2.

Also I completely agree that Namco Bandai is holding Spike back big time. Give them a year and a half or two years to make a DB game I'm pretty sure it'll be fantastic.

I'm sure if Atari gave Avalanche a year or two Sagas would've been a great game...

Spike's had six games to perfect their fighting engine yet they really haven't. The game's play style has barely evolved, and is very samey.

Spike had 3 games under Atari. For all we know, Banco/Namdai wanted them to start from scratch with RB1.

Seconded. I like Spike's games, but dislike their 3D modeling. Motions look bad, too.

@SSJMole
Couldn't have said it better myself. They're just flawed, flawed games.

People talk about the RB titles being good "DBZ simulators" and whatnot, but see, the Budokais and Burst Limit did that just fine. It is indeed about quality over quantity, and in the realm of fighting games, you're supposed to have one guy on the left and the other on the right, with strategic differences and balancing among all the fighters on the roster.

I gave up with these latest games after Tenkaichi 3, and have just decided to stick with Budokai 3 and Burst Limit. Those are the only, real DBZ fighting games out there, as far as I'm concerned.

@AnimeFreak
People are gonna share their discontent with the Tenkaichi/RB series, so for you to say that "nobody wants to hear it" is silly. That's basically telling the folks up in here who're on my side to shut up. Sorry, but that ain't happenin', buddy.

I think the strongest element to Spike's games are indeed the "scrapping the bottom of the barrel" we see with bringing out characters like Appule. Sure, Freeza Soldier #1 can be a bit...silly, but for everyone one of those we get guys like Thouser, Naise, and even Hatchihyakku. I do wish, though, that we could see a better handling of visuals and gameplay. With games like the Dragon Ball Z series we got better gameplay at the risk of a more interesting cast, which, I think, kind of hurts the draw for an actual series of games.

But, of course, I'm just saying this because I want Buleberry, Amond, Rild, Daimaô and Super Saiyan 3 Future Trunks in the next game, so take what I say with a grain of salt...

I also don't like their Goku model. Both the face and the hair seem off to me. :(
It's one of the reasons why I was hoping this was going to be something completely different from the ground up.
