Chop that up to me not thinking properly when I added it up. He was 360.

But, that's still really freakin' old
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

5: Go

9: Ku (Alternate way of reading kyū in Japanese.)

59 = "Go" "Ku", or Goku, when the individual numbers are spoken.

Whaa? I didn't know that until now. :)

That is really cool. I love having people that can actually speak Japanese on the board!

Well, Tao Pai Pai's 291 at his first appearance, and Tsuru-sennin's about as old as Kame-sennin. It's not ever said that they drank the water of immortality, so I just figured that they'd trained their bodies so much that they wouldn't face the crippling effects of old age. At least, not as much as normal Earthlings. I think Goku, Kuririn and the others would be like that too, since they're leagues beyond Kame-sennin, Tsuru-sennin and Tao Pai Pai now.

How old does that make Tao Pai Pai in his final (filler) appearance?

When I first heard of the Summer Vacation Special, more commonly known as the Movie Overview Special, I couldn't figure out why they chose to name it after the movie with #13 in it. (Extreme Battle!! Three Great Super Saiyans). What made that movie so special from the rest? After thinking about it I realized it was because that movie was the 10th overall DragonBall movie (7 plus the D.B. trilogy).

Then I realized something else. What two episodes did DBZ Movie #7 air between? Episodes 147 and 148 of course. And what is 147 plus 153 (number of D.B. episodes)? 300! So in less than a week the Dragon Ball anime went through two milestones: the 300th overall episode and the 10th overall movie.

That the original Japanese is much better than the English dub... not really that recent but as of last year I only watch the series in Japanese.

That though I didn't like certain characters in the English dub watching in Japanese has helped me gained appreciation for certain characters- Kame Sennin, Tenshinhan, Freeza and more.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

I can definitely understand why you didn't like Freeza if you've only seen the English dub until recently. I hated Freeza and I was convinced that all the people who said he was the best villain were on crack until I watched the Japanese.

Tenshinhan and Kame-sennin have two of the best voices in the entire Japanese Dub. I think Tenshinhan in the episode where he does the Kikoho against Nappa (after Chaozu died) was one of the most amazing pieces of voice acting in the whole series, DB, Z, or GT.

It really is a shame that both Ten and Roshi's Seiyuus died by the time they started making Kai (Kame-sennin's died during the original Boo Arc, after the episode where Boo eats him.) :(

Yeah, same here, I never understood the love for Freeza (was a Cell fan more) and then when I began watching in Japanese...*woah*

I love his voice especially when Freeza starts slipping into insanity when Goku becomes a SSJ. Then I was recently allowed to look at my birthday collection of Dragonball: Complete Collection #2 and watched a bit of the Piccolo Daimao arc and when Tambourine came on...
Hey isn't that Freeza's voice?!
:D

I also love Kame-Sennin's voice in Japanese, especially when he's up to something perverted- that song he sings at the 21st Budokai is a riot! And starting liking Ten's voice during his fight with Goku in 22nd Budokai...

And is indeed a shame that they are both dead, that's just one of the reasons why I won't watch Kai.

Another thing I'v realised- * The Orange Bricks I have may suck compare to the Dragon Boxes but putting the colour to natural and picture size to 4:3 makes them a lot better. Gets rid of a lot of the colour saturation too!

EDIT: I never noticed the Ginyu Special Corps thing mentioned on page #1!!!

I had never seen the Great Saiyaman saga in Japanese before getting my Dragon Box 5... and I had always thought that Vegeta's "Super Saiyan bargain sale" line was a dumb dub line, since it really seems like one. :P

There are more Kanji in use in today's Shounen Manga series than "DB".

I just recently realized that Goku wears a different type of belt (Is it a belt? It does belt type stuff...) after the Freeza saga.

Edit: Cummerbund! Is it a cummerbund? lol I remember Mike on the podcast making fun of that word once.

Even though I watched this movie quite a few times, I recently noticed that Piccolo's belt is red in DBZ Movie 7.

Oh wow, I never realised that. I wonder why they decided to use it that particular time?

After looking at some bootleg Dragon Ball GT DVDs at the mall(the catch line on the front is "Based on Akira Toriyama's Original Manga!"), I realized that the pun scheme for the Luud saga can be alternately sexually interpreted.

Mutchi Mutchi = Whips
Luud = Lewd

That Vegeta anime-wise has his own version of the hellzone grenade.

I was just reading DragonBall Vol.1 and just realized - Bulma doesn't hit Goku with her car in the manga!
