People are gonna share their discontent with the Tenkaichi/RB series, so for you to say that "nobody wants to hear it" is silly. That's basically telling the folks up in here who're on my side to shut up. Sorry, but that ain't happenin', buddy.
Yeah, of course people are gonna share their opinions, but he was starting arguments with people because they didn't agree with his opinion, that what I meant by his "whining".

I'm sure Project Age 2011 is gonna have SSJ3 Trunks in it since he's gonna be in DB Heroes.

Why aren't people calling Burst Limit just an HD Budokai on the PS2. I see BL as a large step Backwards from a game like BTand RB where is limits you bck to side dashes and front ways and backways and being stuck on the ground.
Because it's not fun. Having more movement doesn't matter when you're just doing the same repetitive thing over and over again for the entire game. Mortal Kombat Armageddon had 3D movement, but that doesn't save it from having a terrible combat system, and overall the new Mortal Kombat, which is played on a 2D plane, is more fun while at the same time being a deeper experience. In most cases the limitations are WHAT make fighting games more fun, as evidenced by the massive popularity of games like Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs Capcom 3 when compared with recent 3D fighters like Tekken or Soul Calibur. When a fighter is played on a 2D plane the combat becomes quicker and more streamlined because there's a lot less to think about, allowing you to set up more complex strategies, not less.

In the Tenkaichi games you just mash the same buttons over and over again, and I and many other people don't find that fun. The critics don't find it fun, a lot of the people on this forum don't find it fun, and apparently the consumers don't find it fun, seeing as Burst Limit sold better than either of the Raging Blast games. If this game ends up being another Tenkaichi style game I'm going to skip it just like I skipped the 3D Mortal Kombat games, because I can find fighters with actual depth, where skill is required instead of just mashing buttons and watching pretty things happen.

Instead of Project Age 2011 everyone should buy the new Mortal Kombat. It's sooooo good.

Teaser Site Now Open

Image

Hmm, the furthest screenshot looks Zenkai Battle Royale, but everything else doesn't...

Also, that Shenron imagery is part of the logo! Hmm, the Soul Calibur team is supposed to make an announcement on the 11th as well, I wonder if that logo is clue to another fighting game team... Nah, they'll probably just announce Soul Calibur V.
The site mentions the goal of this Dragon Ball game is to make players thoroughly feel like they have completely become the characters in the series. Comments on the site also say the team aims to make this the most realistic Dragon Ball game… which is a bit odd since Dragon Ball isn’t realistic at all. I’ll take this as the team wants to stick to the series, but hopefully not so much that it takes three episodes of Goku charging to fire one powerful blow.

Maybe the connection is that they're both arcade games with home ports? Guess we'll find out more on Wednesday.

I'm kind of excited because some of that looks like the Zenkai whatever arcade game BUT if they are switching it up from RB2.....didn't the arcade game have a drastically small roster?

It does a bit, but why give a port a codename? That doesn't make any sense. Then again, who knows what Namco-Bandai are thinking :p

This has Spike written all over it. Goku's and Vegeta's models in that scan are identical to their Raging Blast 2 counterparts. If Spike weren't involved, one would fully expect to see slightly different versions of these cartoon characters in video game form.

My guess is that it's some sort of reworked Raging Blast... odds are they felt like they shouldn't keep using the name Raging Blast so they can start fresh, but my guess is that its sort of like what Burst Limit was to Budokai 3.

It's definitely not Zenkai Battle Royale; this is obvious when looking at the character models.

The fact that what little information is given is that they intend to design the characters to match their original counterparts says to me that, gun to my head, it's Raging Blast with less characters and a revamped game engine.

You misunderstood. I was not trying to start arguments. I clearly stated my opinion only to be told things like "I must have have a bad tv" to think that. So the starting arguments based on opinion was not me. I was defending myself and my opinion against snide and unwarranted replies.

Being the person that said that I'll vouch, I was a wee bit rude and that made it seem like an argument.

Another year, another DragonBall game for which I wait to hear Goten confirmed as a playable character before I take the dive.

Well given they have a spot for a placeholder video on the official site and we're supposed to get more information on the 11th I'd really hope so.

Lemmy's a huge Goten fan, Hell, he's even declared himself fucking epic.

As for me, I'll be impatiently waiting for confirmation on Mr. Satan. Why hasn't he been playable on the PS3 yet, dammit? WHY?! I wanna blow up Freeza with a Game Boy in high definition.

Who is saying there will be more information on the 11th? What is the actual source of this?

I remember a crap load of "OH MAN WE'RE GETTING A TRAILER ON SUCH-AND-SUCH DATE!!!!1" for the last two games, and unless it was associated with a major event by the publisher themselves, it was always traced back to "some dude on some other shitty message board".

This is the community for Daizenshuu EX -- you all should know better than to re-post information that doesn't have a concrete source attached to it. It's our job to combat that kind of nonsense!
