Toy Commercial

Post by SovietJedi » Sun May 08, 2011 2:08 pm

I've got sort of a weird request. I'm trying to find a Dragon Ball Z toy commercial. It was probably on TV somewhere in the '02-'05 timeframe. I don't remember it too vividly because I was only nine or ten years old at the time, but if I recall correctly it was narrated by someone who sounded very similar to the regular Dragon Ball Z narrator. They would air this commercial very frequently on Toonami. At the end of the commercial, the narrator would say "The saga continues". The only reason I even remember any of this is because it was the first time I'd heard the word "saga" and learned what it meant. I was a very stupid kid.

Now, I want to see this commercial again for some reason I do not quite understand. Can anyone help me out?

In the comments someone commented on how Saiyan was pronounced cyan. It's funny because that is generally what followers of the Japanese version consider the correct pronunciation to be. They got it right in a toy commercial, of all places.

I've always said "Jehd-Eye" and I've always said "Say-yin". Thanks for uploading that commercial. Why in the flying fuck does Piccolo have a sword? I thought this commercial was awesome when I was a kid. I must have a bad memory.

Lots of times things look awesome that aren't when you're young. For example, when I was four years old, I thought this show was awesome. When AS reran it, I realized how lame it was.

Here is another commercial that does the same thing. And it's another toy commercial, no less.

But when he says it again, it's "Super Scion."
