Kuririn Revived
Why wasn't Kuririn revived by earth's dragon balls after being killed be Freeza? Wasn't the wish to bring back everyone who was killed by Freeza and his men? I am blanking out at this right now and it's bugging me far more than it should be haha.
Re: Kuririn Revived
The wish to restore Freeza and his underlings' victims was made on the Earth Dragon Balls, which cannot bring the same person back to life more than once. So Kuririn was not included in that wish since he'd already been dead once before (by Tambourine).
The "master set" of Dragon Balls from Namek, however, can bring anyone back to life an unlimited amount of times, so long as it wasn't a natural death. Hence why the plan was to use those to bring back not just Kuririn, but also Chaozu and Goku. All three of them had already been killed and revived with the Earth Dragon Balls once before.

Thanks, Kaboom. I knew i was forgetting something obvious, it's late and this is a clear sign that i need to rest and regain focus after that screw up of mine.
Re: Kuririn Revived
I'm pretty sure they also had to wish to have his remains moved to Earth as a seperate wish, since otherwise they'd wish him back to life IIIIINNNN SPAAAAAAAAAACEEEE....

Yeah, but it was his soul, not his remainslaserkid wrote:I'm pretty sure they also had to wish to have his remains moved to Earth as a seperate wish, since otherwise they'd wish him back to life IIIIINNNN SPAAAAAAAAAACEEEE....
Re: Kuririn Revived
My misunderstanding there then, but yeah. Regardless, they had to use two wishes to get Kuririn back, regardless of the fact he had been wished back to life before.

Re: Kuririn Revived
That's something that's bugged me. "Remains" always made more sense to me than "soul. The "soul" wouldn't be anywhere near planet Namek, it would be in the next world. If everything was dependent on the location of the soul, that problem would be meaningless. Only the remains are floating in space. When people are brought back to life, except in the rare occasion where their bodies follow them to the afterlife, it seems that their souls reinhabit their bodies, which are given life. Why the hell would their souls be floating around the physical world anyway? It makes it sound like they were killed by a mazoku, and the last time I checked, Freeza isn't. So how exactly does moving around their "souls" rather than their "remains" accomplish anything? What are the exact words used in the original version to describe this process?
Hell, if soul was really used, then FUNimation's censoring of that scene actually makes it make more sense, wherein Vegeta recommends they wish their remains to Earth's "Check-In Station." That would somewhat tie-in with the fact that Kaio's jurisdiction doesn't extend to Namek. However, it would contradict the earlier stated declaration that Enma judges the dead of ALL worlds. So if Enma's jurisdiction covers the entire universe, then having to shuffle around their souls makes even less sense. I'd almost go so far as to say this plot point rather flies in the face of everything we've learned so far about death and the afterlife.
