"Closer to the acclaimed previous Tenkaichi series"

2 Things come to mind with that :

1) Wasn't Raging blast pretty much Tenkaichi ?

2) So they are admitting the game glame play on the ps2 "Tenkaichi" series = better? if so isn't that just flat out saying "Raging blast 1 & 2 had worse gameplay than the ps2 games" ?

Either way, Poor choice of wording. Yes I'm not a Tenkaichi / raging blast fan. However if I was I'd be pretty annoyed by that as they are confirming what people like me, who hate the series have said all along. Raging blast was a bad game as it played worse than it's ps2 counter-part / previous version.

Now another thing I want to say. As many know I insulted raging blast's graphics. However it looks like this one at least looks pretty. Plus they said real expressions on it plus a big story mode? ok they fixed 3 of my complaints with Raging Blast. So when this is cheaper I may get it as it sounds like this time they are finally trying to improve.

This sounds like the perfect DB video game for me. And it almost looks like it. Sadly, so did Infinite World, but it turned out to be rather a disappointment. The screens and trailer look good, very good in fact. It resembles the Raging Blast style a bit, but it does seem that it's been improved. Can't wait for more gameplay footage and eventually a playable demo. Wow, I haven't been so excited about a new Dragon Ball game in a while. I just might actually get this on its release...

Will have to see how the game play is before I say anything, but I dunno what I think about the graphics. Like somebody else said before, I also hope this includes DBGT, especially characters as Rildo, Rejik, and the black dragons, although I guess it will only focus on DBZ - for the 100th time.

That would be the dumbest decision they would have ever made. Seriously we had no GT for 4 years in the last DB games.

Judging by the poor connection animation on the gut punch, it looks to be developed by Spike.

Yep. Ever since RB the gut punches look as if they don't even hit.

Edit:

Here are some images:

Looks quite decent if you ask me.

The effects look very nice. I like the Character models too. I just hope they improve the animations, finally.

They can't hide it; this is definitely Raging Blast 3 under a different name. :|
I hope I'm wrong though; the way the character models look isn't doing much to persuade me otherwise.

That said, the way they shaded the characters and environment is different (and I do like that stormy backdrop they're on; I'd been hoping for weather effects); but I'd still prefer a completely new engine/character models from RB.

Does get points for the amusing term of "Grapple Range" though. :3
On hiatus.

Looks great, I can't wait to see more soon. I hope the gameplay is something new and different for once.

GT is not very popular which is why that they skip it in most of the games. I'm pretty sure the game developers like to pick and add characters that popular in the fan base and think which will help rise sales. Broly is the most popular movie character next to Coola which is why they thought they would make a SSj3 for the first RB game.

That is the "argument" I just cannot understand. Even if GT is mostly hated (especially in Japan then I guess) that's no reason for not to put it in the game. No one is being forced to play with the characters or the saga whatsoever. It's like purposely leaving out an entire part of the franchise for years. Why not add it like in the Tenkaichi series and make it complete??

The sale argument isn't even valid considering that the Tenkaichi games sold far better than the Raging Blast series.

The trailer is awesome! Thanks a bunch!

But on the daizex startsite, there stands that the oozaru is Vegeta.. I'm not sure of that. Look closely, the oozaru don't have a armor on it. I'm quessing its some special what if, or maybe Gohan.

@00:35 Holy Dang, now thats the best destruction I've seen in a level since.....B1? *hopefully its not like RB1 [or 2 where you could only hit the ground in certain spots]

EDIT:: I read the post on the front page of Daizex and it says that Oozaru Vegeta is at the end of the trailer...but didn't vegeta have on his armor when he fought Goku? Wouldn't that have been Gohan?

I guess. Everything so far has just been Goku and Vegeta so far, though. I suppose I can change it to just "and there's an Oozaru".

The way they move and attack is just like RG2 with better graphics, no? If it's like that, people will just complain and say it's boring after a while, better graphics won't really change that much when it's the same movement.

or am I wrong?

More of the same... more of the same... -_-. You can put some glittery sprinkles on a piece of crap, but it'll remain a piece of crap.
