The difference in their performance was due to the difference in power, not strategy or battle experience. Vegeta gets a few good hits in but nothing that does everlasting damage or gives him the upper hand. I understand what you are saying, but this isn't really a fair comparison.

And at his worst, Vegeta is a better fighter than Gohan ever was. Compare them fighting Fat Buu.

And all Vegeta did was beat up a bubblegum monster who pretty much relies on power and regeneration, but Boo never sustained any real damage and just beat up Vegeta.

And Vegeta's far more powerful than Gohan. This really isn't a fair comparison.

And Cell isn't a great strategist either, despite having the cells of Goku, Piccolo and Vegeta.

I don't know whether it's just your bias against Gohan or whatever, but my opinion still stands.

No, but Imperfect Cell relied heavily on tactics and outsmarting the enemy. While he DID become insanely cocky after he attained his perfect form, he shouldn't have gotten dumber.

He fired a blast to finish off Vegeta and it did quite a bit of damage to Gohan. After that if it wasn't for Goku helping him mentally I think he would have died (and he did give up until Goku talked to him).

No, he drew his fist back to prepare for a punch, but before he could do so, he was blasted away. Why are you making shit up? Is it just enforcement for your bias against Gohan or what?

Gohan and Vegeta were beaten just as badly as each other. Gohan didn't even get a chance to fight Boo, because he was blasted away before he could do anything, and Vegeta gave Boo a beating that barely affected him and got the crap beaten out of him after Boo made that explosion.

I agree. Looking at it closely, he appears to be kinda pissed as he's unleashing the attack. Sure, it had no special name attached to it, but I think that attack contained enough destructive power to do the damage it did. Either way, Gohan was still not on his guard when he took it, and the damage seemed to cause more psychologically damage than physical.

This is enough to imply Cell is in a different league than before, but that's about it.
