Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

You were the one suggesting it and saying it wouldn't work lol.
But this has gone on for too long...
So to get back on track..
I don't think Super Earthlings would have been a good solution to the huge gap between Saiyajins and everyone. Maybe Toriyama could have limited Goku's Super Saiyajin form and make Goku the only one or something.

Maybe Goku could have died in Namek, and instead of the characters getting new Super Saiyan forms, they would try to achieve the same as Goku...

I read this on another Dragon Ball forum, but I don't know if it is true or not.
"In certain parts of Asia, beings with a third eye on their forehead are thought to be god-like and are said to posses the power of true seeing. It seems that Tenshinhan, who was raised by the evil Tsuru-Sen'nin, lost the ability to use the myriad powers of his third eye for good purposes."
January 2003 issue of Shonen Jump, Toriyama fan letter answers/interview.
IF this is true, then Tien could have somehow regained these 'myriad power' through further meditation and such and would have gained a unique power up.

Ten's alien ancestry would be a good excuse to give him a transformation.Herms suggested Majin Ozotto.
If you believe it. I don't, because it just seems so random and left-field. As if having three eyes, growing two arms and splitting into four people automatically makes you an alien and is somehow so strange among the anthropomorphic animals, Kaio-Ken, Shunkan-Ido and Fusion. And the other annoying thing is that they just seem to give us this information just for the hell of it. With guidbeooks, it's nice to have in-depth information that we didn't get in the series, or just general tidbits on attacks. This just wasn't needed IMO. And what's more, they don't even give any extra information on the
"Three-Eyed Tribe". They have a generic name and all we have on them is that Tenshinhan's descended from them and they have three eyes, Shiyo-ken and Shishin no Ken. Plus, aren't they completely missing the point of Tenshinhan's third eye? Isn't his third eye meant to signify enlightenment, and that his character is based on Er Lang Shen, the three-eyed man who fought and captured Sun Wukong?
You might as well make Chaozu a descendant of the Doll Vampires and Kuririn a descendant of the No-Nosed Clan if you're going to follow this logic.
I pretty much agree with all of this. If, however, Tenshinhan really is a descendant of this Three Eyed Tribe thing, the idea that it'd make him automatically significantly stronger than either Kuririn or Yamcha or close to a Super Saiyan's level of power (or even Frieza's full strength) with out the Ki-Ko-Ho is absurd, IMO. His 'Alien ancestry' giving him the ability to create new and different techniques seems reasonable, though.

I figure this is what Roshi's "Buff" transformation is. Obviously, it's nothing compared to Super Saiya-jin.

I always figured that the main Earthling characters in Dragonball were Super Earthlings! Just look at them compared to even the next strongest of their kind! They're powerful enough that Kuririn was BORED fighting other humans at the Budoukai toward the end of the series.

I hope it's true.

Pretty much all of the Dragon Warriors could be considered "god-like" by the Cell arc.
