Apparently the glitch has a tendency to occur, when a post creates a new page in the thread. The post then gets stuck between the two pages, only to be seen, when you are making replies.

This glitch, and another like it related to deleting posts (where the opposite happens and the board lists your post even though it's gone) seem to have been a result of the forum moving a good while back, because I don't remember it happening until then.

Yeah, this glitch happens now and again. Posts fall down the crack between pages. As you can see above, you can usually make them appear by changing the starting point of the page (i.e. set "start" to 19 instead of 20), but it's easier to just look at the "topic review" thing at the bottom of the "post a reply" page.
