Characters that you never hear about
There are a lot of minor characters in Dragon Ball that always seem to be forgotten or characters that I never see referenced, on here at least. So how about a thread dedicated to those characters in Dragon Ball that you never hear about.
I'll mention one so there will be more for other people to think of.
I have never ever hear about Suppa Man! I'm not sure what the pun is besides being a parody of superman, but I heard it has something to do with sour prunes or something like that.
How about some others?

Well, he's technically a Dr. Slump character. The pun is from the Japanese word "suppai", which means "sour". He gets his powers from eating something sour, if I remember right.
I don't think many people ever talk about Snow. I guess that's because she wasn't in it much and, apart from saving Goku's life and giving #8 a home, didn't do much. I guess I find it interesting that she didn't appear in more filler later. Chichi did, after all, so did Toei know Chichi would be important later? Eh, I'm probably thinking too deeply about it.

I rarely see Gil ever mentioned. Though that is probably because GT usually only appears in conversations when people argue over whether it sucked or not.

Re: Characters that you never hear about
I remember Lunch being mentioned a few times in the beginning of DBZ... and I wish she had slightly more of a role. I guess she just faded much more into the background than Roshi did, and he did a lot. I think those characters were really just kept there for old time's sake.
I wish we saw more of Ran Fuan - I thought it was so funny when she took all her clothes off at the Budokai tournament, but that's just me... lol
I also would have loved to see more of Namu, he was such a nice guy, and one episode of filler (not counting the tournaments) was not enough for him.

Baba's Ghost Assistant is God Tier and deserves his own section of the board, so we can discuss his contributions to the series and fandom.

Fuck yes, Ghost. I support a Ghost Discussion Board one-hundred percent.
He's basically Baba's gay best friend. Does he ever appear again after the Konkichi episode?

Tapion's brother.
Re: Characters that you never hear about
I don't see Nam getting mentioned often on this board. I really like that guy.
Re: Characters that you never hear about
Any of the earlier Z movie henchmen such as Kishime (who was awesome, by the way)

Well... Snow was in the Piccolo Daimaoh filler.. I think she was supposed to meet the King the day the palace was attacked. And I'm sure we saw an adult Snow in the DBZ/GT scenes that showed everyone sending ki to the Genki Dama.Bussani wrote:Well, he's technically a Dr. Slump character. Puck, from the GT Special.

Re: Characters that you never hear about
Or Mamba, from the GT Special:

She seems like an interesting villain, and she has some weird tricks. She also looks like some other-wordly Bojack-type kind of a being.
I'd love some crazy interesting back-story about her.

Re: Characters that you never hear about
I don't think I get this thread. Do you want to hear more about the characters from the people around here? Or do you want more info from Toei and/or Toriyama?
If the former, the reason for there being no talk about some characters (like the awesome Mamba pictured above) is because.. there isn't much to talk about!
There's lots of characters that could have more background information to them. We'll probably never get all of the info we'd like to though. It's more of a, "here's some characters, use your imagination" kind of thing, I guess.
