I would love to see a Konquest type of story mode but I doubt we will see it. I think the story mode is going to the same as Sparking! Meteor and the first RB game where you just get some cut scenes and dialogue when fighting.

I hope Project Age will have people be like "Wow a DBZ game that looks awesome and different"!. I think people skip out on the RB games because the gameplay look hardly any different from the past game. I think the first Burst Limit was the only HD DBZ game that became a greatest hits and platinum hit title for the PS3 and 360.

People actually knew about Burst Limit since it had coverage on Spike TV and a ton of commercials.

So you want Toei's wet dream of Goku, Goku and more Goku? Wasn't that already done in GT?

It would be a nicer idea if it was done in a multiple "Volume" setup in one game.

Vol 1:
Goku
DB
(It's late, cbf fleshing this one out at 3am)

Vol 2:
(only doing up to end of freeza, do not want to flesh out ideas that deep for a game that will never happen

First levels: Adventure
Find Gohan and get him to Kame House. Safe.

Piccolo encounters Raditz.

Race against King Piccolo to get to Raditz.

Fight:
Goku or Piccolo v Raditz: (First fight as a 2 v 1 using either Comp or Player 2)

Adventure: (Seems too thick)
Snake Way - Escape Hell and Princess Snake, Run Snake way
Gohan vs Wild (Adventure element)
Kaio - Train with Goku to catch Bubbles and Gregory / Learn new moves
Gohan + Piccolo (as a introduction to new fighting skills)
Vegeta and Nappa vs Aliens

Fight:
Yamcha Vs Saibaimen
Goku Vs. Nappa,
Goku Vs. Vegeta

Gohan + Krillin: Adventure
Namek Treasure hunt

Fight:
Vegeta Vs Bura
Gohan Vs Recoome
Goku Vs Recoom
Goku Vs Burta + Jeice (1 v 2)
Goku Vs Ginyu
Gohan + GinyuGoku + Krillin + Vegeta vs Jeice + GokuGinyu (4 vs 2) - Technically 3 v 1 as Goku and Jeice being support characters
Vegeta Vs 1st Form Freeza
Vegeta Vs 2nd Form Freeza
(Can't remember how the sequence of fights between freeza, vegeta, gohan and krillin go)
Piccolo Vs 3rd Form Freeza
Vegeta vs Final Freeza
Goku Vs Freeza
Piccolo + Krillin + Gohan Vs. Freeza (To allow Goku enough time to charge his Genki Dama)
SS Goku vs Freeza
Gohan vs Freeza
SS Goku vs Freeza (5 minute fight - Beat Freeza as quick as possible and then do next mission in time limit?)

Escape from Namek as Goku

Additional Fights: - Non Compulsory unlocked through main fights in single player.
Yamcha, Chaotzu, Tenshinhan, Krilin, Gohan Vs Saibaimen and Nappa
Vegeta vs Namekians
Vegeta vs Henchmen
etc; the others I left out

Side stories - Additional - only has achievements attached
Find Spaceship - Popo, Bulma
Travel to Namek via Detour
Maybe also Goku's travel to namek ... maybe as a practice mode or a montage cut scene
Save the kids - Distract Freeza and their henchmen and escape and hide.
Bulma the Drama Queen - Play out her filler episode(s?) in Namek as her.
Get to Guru.
Freeza's Visit: Namek from Freeza's point of view up until the fight with Vegeta/Goku
Vegeta's Visit: Same up until joining forces.

I'm gonna stop, it's starting to feel like a Action/Adventure/RPG with Fights linking it together, and I don't think that's what the majority of DBZ fans want.

I still like to see What If's though. I would want to see Nappa have his own What If story for once.

Nappa turning Super Sayain. I really would want to see him without hair, or with then?!
Given the fact that his aura in his normal state is already super sayain yellow.

I remember the trailer for Sparking NEO/Budokai Tenkaichi 2 had a cut scene of Nappa going Oozaru against Vegeta. I'm pretty sure it was scrap somehow. I would like to see a what if for #19 as well (Could be something different for once).

I hope this game has a decent soundtrack. IMO, BT2 and RB1 had the best ones.

The initial scan says "Featuring the original Japanese voiceover and music.."

If that means what I think it means, they better not change the score for the US version. If They do and I decide to get this, I will pay the extra money for the JP version and brush up on my Japanese.

Yup. I really hope as well to have the real Japanese background music from the series in the game. That would make the fights so much more epic.

Did you mean the JP music from the game are more epic or from the show? I think I'd have to disagree on that one.

But why is everyone buggin about music when you can play your own if you wanted.

It's not that I'm buggin' about it. It's more that I really like that music and would love to see that the developers went to the effort of building it into the game. I would enjoy Dragonball Z fighting more with actual Dragonball Z music.

I guess I'm the only one here that doesn't care about the Japanese score.

I don't either, same with the JP voices.

I couldn't care less about the music, it isn't the music from the show so I use Faulconer music when I'm playing.

It's not the same when you have to play your own songs while fighting since it's annoying to always adjust to a special or specific part of the theme or song to have it the way you want. That's the difference when they put them in in the first place. They can adjust the music to the fights' highlights and thus it is already epic and I don't have to fast forward or rewind because I missed a part in the theme/song I wanted to have played when I finish off my opponent with my ultimate.
