I would have gone apeshit for a #17, I mean Gero already has the creatures line that's enough for him! Lol. But yeah I'll get Gero becuase of what Star mentioned (how there is little merchandise on him), god knows I don't like Gero though, lol.

I'll be getting 3 of the SSJ3 Goku (I don't even care about resale value or whatever I'm getting 3 of the damn thing). 3 of the Gohan (maybe 2), 3 of the Driving School Goku (due to anticipated rarity for reselling), 1 maybe 2 max of the MSP Piccolo (not too crazy about the pickle man), 2 of the Freeza (I don't like Freeza too much but I'll admit that detailing is unreal), 2 of the battle damaged SSJ Goku (Both this piece and Freeza will be Ichiban Kuji prizes so that will automatically jack up their prices), 2 possibly 3 of the Gero (again due to anticipated rarity, but maybe 2 since he does already have a DX creatures release...), 2 of the Vegeta (it's a nice Vegeta, but he's just plain lol, well actually maybe 3 becuase of his potential resale value since regular DX Vegeta's seem scarce [apart from the glossy Legend of Saiyan piece]), 2 MAYBE 3 of the Perfect Cell (again resale in mind here, I don't quite like the look of the figure, looks a bit sloppy... but this is the first DX Perfect Cell we're getting so for that reason alone it'll probably spike in price), and 3 of the Android 16 becuase there is no doubt in my mind that will become a rare and sought after piece.

Living in Australia, I don't think buying for resale would be a smart thing for me...not a large enough market.

Oh hey I got a mention on Dragonnews for my discovery of pictures the Zoukei Tenkaichi Budoukai figures, for some reason I feel all special lulz. 8)

Anyway I was cruising around and stuff and I found a picture of what was supposedly that random "Dragon Ball Heroes" set on HLJ. Supposedly it's just super deformed figures and not even a good selection at that:

The set.

I also contemplated the resale value of the Medicos Goku, so I preordered a second off HLJ. This way I can keep one and resell one for a high price since it's a sought after piece. :P.

I guess they also come with some cards. I wouldn't mind them... but they are a little too expensive to justify. I think I'll cancel my order.

Honestly it's all "meh" at best. I cancelled my order as soon as I saw the pic.

I like the Trunks and Goten enough to spend like 4 bucks a pop getting them as singles. The rest are pretty weak and definitely not deserving of a full set purchase. Wonder who the secret figure is going to be?

I like them. Though, I'm a fan of mini figures anyway. I really like the Trunks and Goten.
I think it would have been better if they had made figures of the avatar characters, like Hero and the female Saiyans.

I'd pick Krillin and Dabura if I really had to.

There's nothing really wrong with the figures themselves, it's just that I can't justify spending close to $50 on them.

I just feel it's a weak set overall, not worth it. Now if there was a super deformed SSJ3 Trunks in there...

I know, this is kinda off-topic, but this is where all the merchandise people hang out. :P I posted this in the thread for DB Heroes yesterday, and I'm impatient. lol So... I'm going to post it here now.

Where do you actually buy the cards for Dragonball Heroes? I know Yahoo Auctions Japan, but that's all kinds of hassle. At least for a few cards it is anyway. Amazon Japan lists some but apparently aren't through amazon and won't ship to the US.

If I just want a couple cards, what's the best place online to get them from?

Preferably somewhere that I don't have to pay customs or crazy extra fees that comes with importing most stuff. Shipping costs for a few cards shouldn't be that much, right? I mean, all you need is an envelope, right? I feel I might be asking too much, but it never hurts to ask!

Mandarake occasionally has them.
The sometimes pop up on eBay.
The best place to get them is Yahoo Japan Auctions, but as you said, it’s kind of a hassle.
There’s also mbok. Though, as with Yahoo Japan, you’d need a proxy.

The ones I see on ebay are usually complete sets. I'd totally get those if I had money to throw around, but I figured it'd be easier to get like 1-2 cards here, 1-2 cards later. But now I'm thinking that's not going to happen. :(

Shipping prices are insane.

While not exactly a Japanese release, or even a retail release for that matter, a San Diego Comic Con 2011 S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Goku exlusive repaint has been announced.
Image

Looks like it's supposed to represent his anime palette, with the different shades of blue for the shirt, gloves/belt, and boots, as well as the more reddish tint to the gi.

I don't live in, or even near California, so no Figuarts Goku repaint for me... :( It's possible someone will put one up on eBay, but I'd expect the price would be much higher than the original's price.

Don't know if this deserves it's own thread, and it's technically a repaint of a Japanese figure.

Although I don't collect the figuarts line I'd pick that up. The colouring on it is beautiful. I really like the richer tones used and his hair looks great!

That's a pretty nice colored Goku. I have the other 2 Figurarts and held of on Goku. Maybe this is a sign lol. Is anybody going to Comic Con? Sadly I live on the East Coast.

I have to agree. Despite not living anywhere near California, I want it... lol While I've wanted the other Figuarts, Goku for the most part, I've held off because I could never find them for a cheap enough price. (They're like $25 in some stores in Japan, why would I want to pay $50 before shipping costs?) But I'd really like to have this Goku as well as the other one...
