This sounds really cool and I hope it is going really well for you. I'd be really interested to see this and I'm sure it looks great. The only thing is, how are you doing with the audio? Does the music sound really out of place and just cut from one scene to another or did you put your own bgm into it? Also, if the steel book sets are going to be your movie source, then that might be a little inconsistent with the rest of the 4:3 series.

The music really doesn't sound too out of place cutting from scene to scene. I'm keeping Kikuchi's soundtrack and not messing with it at all. I have a way of converting the steels books which are 16:9 into 4:3 to match up with the blue bricks and dragon boxes. I haven't had any real trouble so far with this project but I may have some trouble when I get into the later arcs in the series music wise.

This sounds really interesting. Can't wait to check it out. I myself am not sure if there is any place you can put them, maybe in a file-hosting service like "Megaupload" or something? I wouldn't put it on YouTube unless you make the videos unlisted and post links here. But, I'm pretty sure linking to full episodes, regardless of this being a fun little project, would violate the Daizex rules, so I would be careful if you choose to do that.
So mondo lame.

Oh cool. Because I would have suggested taking the original score and putting it in yourself. But if it works, then awesome :)

I had an idea to kind of make an anime manga (take shots from the anime and put together scenes like the manga with panels and whatnot), but not sure if that would be cool. This project seems much better.

I believe there is already "redundantly redundant" Dragon Ball animanga released by Shueisha. Or, I may be wrong and only Z was incorporated into the animanga.
So mondo lame.

Episode #1 will be up tomorrow, where though is still being debated. It's basically the first episode of Dragon Ball without the Pilaf filler. I was also able to cut out some random stuff here and there and even moved some scenes around. I'm having trouble cutting out the Tiger chasing Goku though so I may leave that in. This episode will also have a scene from Bardock: The Father of Goku. I also might be able to post a couple more episodes up tomorrow as well. The main problem I'm having right now though is where I'm going to put them up.

Ah I see. Maybe an animanga of GT (except make it more mangaish with black and white, etc? lol Always trying to do more Dragon Ball stuff that would take some time and be fun at the same time).

But I'm curious to see this Dragon Ball... OK (Original Kai :-P)

It would be interesting if this project would use different BGM than Shunsuke Kikuchi's. Not saying I don't like his music, I just think it would be a little more "Kai-ish". And, I know it would take more effort and time to produce, but it would be pretty cool to see that.
So mondo lame.

I'll think about it. I don't know what other BGM I would use though. Anybody have any suggestions? I could go even further with this and create custom openings and custom endings with this. By the way guys there are no next episode previews or recaps in this it's not gonna be possible to do those.

Someone with the Japanese Dragon Boxes or singles would have to help you with the Episode Previews.

I just thought about it guys and I think the best way for u all to see these episodes is through email. Whoever wants to see these episodes send me a private message with your email address and I will give u mine. The first couple episodes should be 100% done by tomorrow night.

You can discuss the details this project if you want, but do not link to your uploads here.

Also moving this to the fan works section.

Fair enough I won't post any links here. I have no idea how you guys are gonna be able to see this but I will find some way. I just found out that email probably isn't gonna work either. Maybe I could upload them to youtube and name them something stupid so funi can't find them.

Honestly, even if you did that, Toei would eventually catch you and delete the video.

There's not an easy way to do this, so here is what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna upload them to youtube under a completely random name, and only keep them up for a very short period of time. Communication is gonna be the key here.

I actually am interested in seeing how this project goes but I'm not a huge fan of giving out my email. If you could find another way of giving the episodes to me I would watch them.

Well, the e-mail form of sending the episodes most likely wouldn't work, seeing as there is a file size limit on most e-mail services that probably isn't big enough in order for PiccoloFan7289 to send us the episodes. So, he said he would upload them to YouTube, and contact whoever is interested via Daizex PMs, I would imagine, with the link to the project's videos.
So mondo lame.

Episode #1 will be up later this afternoon sometime. I will send links to it to everyone who was interested in this. I also plan on working on a couple more episodes today as well and finalizing them, so I may have a couple more up tonight as well. I will only be posting these up for a very short period of time but if i take them down before i get to watch them let me know and I will post them back up for you.

How long would they be up? A few weeks, or a few days?
