Kai Part 5 Discussion Thread

So, I'm almost done watching this set and I came to that scene where Vegeta tells the others to run home and have some milk and cookies. I really thought this was just a Funimation line but apparently it's pretty close to what he's yelling to them in the Japanese version as well...

I wasn't surprised they had the "cookies and milk" line in the dub. In original, they said almost the exact same thing.

Did they change Freeza's line to his soldiers saying "When you find the humans.. well, you know"

Also, has there been any use of the word "shit" or the "bigger" swear words anyone has come across?

That line's still in, although not long after that, he does tell the soldiers to "kill everyone you see".

Also, as with the last set, only swear words are "damn", "bastard", and a liberal use of "hell".

Krillin tells Master Roshi while he's looking at magazines that "those aren't even real", and ChiChi "isn't the earth's mother" and doesn't "give a damn about anyone but her little baby".

I should point out that I like how they handled Freeza's speech before he attempts to kill Goku on the uncut version.

Based off of my memory, it's roughly this.

"Simian bastard... Burn this into your skull... I am Lord Frieza, whom none surpass in power. No one even comes close! The likes of you are only fit to grovel at my feet. Or better still... to die... a disgrace... at the hands of your master!!"

LOL. Why does it sound like Frieza is farting right after he got sliced by Trunks?

I really don't like the music replacement for this scene at all. I didn't like that awkward silence right after too..

Probably because it just sounded ridiculous and hilarious to hear his delivery on it. I would guess it was kind of like Sean Schemmel's one take where he decided to say "I am the Super Saiyan, Son Goku" and someone thought it sounded cool and used that take. Guldo's VA probably did one take where he just screamed "Shiiiiiiiiiit!" as an ad-lib and whoever was in charge thought it was really funny (which it was). It could have been in the script, of course, but because of how off-the-wall it was, it's almost more likely that someone just did it on their own while recording the line.

So there is a lot of rumors going around that Part 5 will have a revised Yamamoto score when its released next week. The only reason people have Kikuchi is because the got it online before it was officially released. And that people are going around saying that Funi themselves said that they will release Part 5 with the Yamamoto score still in there just revised. What are your thoughts about it? If I remember correctly, I think Funi tweeted a few months back saying something like "Part 5 will have a revised score", but they only said revised, they never said anything about Yamamoto. Most likely the sets will have the Kikuchi score.

I was wondering, can anyone post a clip of the beginning of episode 55, when Freeza is floating in space? I loved the music placing in that scene when Yamamoto's score was still in, and I would like to see how Kikuchi sounds in that scene.

Apparently Kaiserneko from Team Four Star got an email saying such. Thats what someone told me in that youtube video.
