Yamcha is an android in U9, correct? So....how can it be that he and Bulma hooked up? He mentioned something about every ten years having to have maintenance..and that Trunks looks to be like 18 or 19. So what happened here? Loving the mystery of this Universe.

What do you mean? Androids can have kids. 18 had one. Besides, we have no idea how old that Trunks is. He can be as old as Gohan. And if Yamcha became an android shortly before the timeframe of the android saga, and Trunks is older than 18 Trunks it would mean that he conceived Trunks before he was an android.

Anyway, there are plenty of surprises in this chapter so far, coming from all sides.

(Btw, I don't know why some of you guys read the novelization... I, for one, hate spoilers. I much rather be surprised by the new pages).

I always wonder how U9 will make itself a strong contender. So far we know Yamcha can easily outclass a normal Android and that Krillin made short work of Salza

However let's assume Android #17 had a power level of about 6 or 7 (a bit higher than the Farmer) when he was a human, Goku in the Freeza saga was 150,000,000 so the increase is enormously high, if Yamcha's power increases by the same percentage surely he would be ridiculously powerful. Either that or Bulma upgrades Yamcha.

Oddly though that makes me wonder who the Saiyans they fought were. Could Yamcha be an Android because in their Universe Dr. Gero was seen as the good guy? Perhaps Goku never bumped his head and became the enemy of U9... Oh God there's so many questions!

I hope their son is strong though! I guess this is our universe of 'Super Humans'

I think the premise of U9 is that Goku either never landed on Earth or died shortly after landing. Presumably the humans in this world managed to kill Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta but just getting to the Saiyans leaves plenty of questions since so much of what happened prior to that was directly linked to Goku. It's difficult to imagine how anything happened without him.

Maybe he died of heat disease or whatever like in Future Trunks's time line and that forced them to seek other measures of defending themselves against future threats, thus what we see now. There are many ways they can go about this universe.

Considering Yamcha and the others are a whole lot stronger than in U18, why can't Trunks be at least equal to the level that Trunks was at in his first appearance? Forget about Post Rosat though. It would be interesting to see Future vs U9 Trunks.

Why would 17 not seek Krillin's tutelege just because he refused to kill him (assuming Krillin killed the RRA in U9)?

I actually rather like this idea. It makes way more sense then her being Yamcha's daughter considering these Videls both look nearly the same and have the same name.

YES! I knew Cold wasn't in his final form! I always considered Cold was only in his second form because both Freeza and Coola were scared of their father even though he was just a little stronger than Mech Freeza. I can't wait to see what he'll look like in his third form next page. I actually considered putting Cold in a fanfic fighting in his final form. I figured it looked just like Freeza's final form except with blue domes on his body instead of purple.

I'm pretty sure that Cold is weaker than both Freeza and Coola...I kind of just remember hearing this but I'm pretty sure it's true. Cold got destroyed by a Super Saiyan instantly, while Freeza put up some kind of fight for a little while. Coola is definitely the strongest, though.

I can understand his frustration. Especially considering that many humans and other non-Saiyans are being given exceptional attention like never before in DragonBall, it's not unreasonable that Chichi could/should be included somewhere, in some fashion. If DBM is meant to be a living example of Murphy's Law or some other equivalent, then a universe in which Chichi is kicking ass is hardly the most inconceivable outcome that the writers could come up with.
