That I would kinda doubt, because FUNimation has moved away from singles for years now.

Well, yeah, that's true. But, then again, the Super-Mega-Ultra Dragon Box with everything in it is not going to happen either. And I doubt FUNimation would re-release the Dragon Box sets anyway. So, I wonder, if they do, how would they re-release them? In bigger or smaller packs?
So mondo lame.

Actually, he did correct it to Kibit in the subtitles.

In the past, has anyone bought a Dragon Box set from Amazon? Just wanna know if they use the same "Glue" as RightStuf.

That $30 pricetag for Box #6 is too damn tempting...
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

I've ordered five of my boxes from Amazon. I'm not sure what you mean by this glue thing, though. It's the same exact product. It's not like Amazon manufactures their own Dragon Box sets.

Certain people got either glue blobs or tape for the 'About the Dragon Box' slip, but whenever people who got the tape tried to take theirs off, it would rip off part of the cover too, so they were unhappy with this. But luckily I've got the glue for my first five.

Hmm... seems to be some weird manufacturing stuff. None of my sets used tape, but they did use varying amounts of glue. Some sets used 1 glob, some sets used 2 globs, and a single set used 3 globs. Strange. Still, though, it's not an Amazon vs Rightstuf thing. It seems to be random.

I got 4 and 5 from Amazon just a couple weeks ago and they both have the glue stuff, not tape. The only box I have with tape is #3. I actually don't take the boxes out of the plastic, just slicing the front open to make a flap so I can get at the content, so I don't care about the tape too much. But it is noticeable. You can feel the difference if you rub your finger over it.

I think the tape thing was isolated to volume 3 because I got both volumes 2 and 3 from Best Buy when they were running a deal for both. I didn't get volume 1 until later. I got that one off Amazon just like 4 and 5 and it, too, didn't come with tape.

I assume if they managed to rerelease the Dboxes or maybe the original 4:3 Funi masters, the packaging they would release them similar to Kai's packaging, with the (4,5, or 6) slimpacks visible from the sides. Actually, if "Z" gets a BD release, I hope that they use that format of packaging, I would also hope they don't use the brick masters.

I would imagine FUNimation would use the Dragon Box masters as they are superior in every way and doing so would allow them to either recoup the cost of or continue to profit off of the Dragon Box masters. Considering the backlash over the cropped presentation, it would be the only logical course. But... we know what they say about logic and corporations.

Funimation just put out some of the Orange Brick episodes in another form today (PSN Store). I wouldn't be that surprised if they continued focusing on that version rather than the Dragon Box version.

I just got my Dragonbox volume 6 in the mail today. All was perfect EXCEPT for disc 33. That DVD came loose because the "push button" broke. It's damaged so I'm sure I can return it but do you think that would be worth the trouble of returning?
Has something like this happened to anyone else who got the dragonboxes?

I haven't had this problem yet, but it doesn't surprise me. The push buttons are too damn stiff. I have to be very careful getting discs out. Between the tightness and the stiff plastic, I feel like I'm going to break something.

Not my Dragon Boxes, but it happened to my copy of the first Slayers set a few years ago. I just bought some 4-DVD cases and scanned and printed the cover art to replace it, but you won't want to do that with your Dragon Box I presume...

The discs that overlap are easy to get out, but the one on its own is hard to pry out.

Either that is indeed the case, or FUNimation's trolling us.

Given their tweet, I'm believing the former. :o
