I took a break after the haphazard DVD releases from Funimation & Madman. First I was collecting the Madman releases which were dub only. I didn't think I needed anything else, but Madman released their first Dub/Sub DVD during the tournament prior to the Buu saga (I think it was the DVD with Goten & Trunks on the cover) & I was hooked from that point. I spent a lot of money replacing my Madman Androids/Cell DVDs with Funimation DVDs as all of theirs were bilingual. Funimation's releases were more than a bit all over the place though. Additionally to that, they never released first first Dragonball saga & I sure as hell wasn't buying it from Madman (I had issues with some of their previous DBZ releases & refuse to purchase anything from them anymore)

Then the Ultimate Uncut versions came out, then they were stopped, then I purchased the first 2 orange bricks & after seeing how horrible they turned out I just had to say "enough!" That was when my "break" started.

Not long after I discovered Daizenshuu EX & started listening to the podcast religiously. I still wasn't watching the show however. I learned about the Japanese Dragonboxes & purchased the GT box (as it was the cheapest one on JYA & I hadn't seen any GT up to that point), then I learned that the US was getting the Dragonbox & I have since started collecting them & Kai. I've also recently purchased the Japanese DBZ Dragonbox & the movie Dragonbox.

So I guess I'm back into it in a very big way :)

I don't recall myself to take a break from DB, I might not like as much as I used too but I never stop then came back to it later (Like Pokemon, Transformers and Spawn for example). I think the games, the DVD releases, and the Internet DB forums keep the Dragon Ball fandom inside me still alive.

I can't say I had taken a break from the series. I just keep coming back to it because there's always something new about it whether its new releases, new video games or scores being replaced. :P

I decided to start watching the entire series today. I've been on a DB break since last September.

I've taken a break by not posting on this forum, but now I'm back! Aside from watching the Dragon Boxes, My breaks with the series have been at about 2-3 month intervals. The video games I've lost complete interest in since the first Raging Blast and Attack of the Saiyans. I still semi-interested in the Dragon Ball Wii game, but my gaming ventures have led to more important titles for me.

I currently have took some time off for awhile, minus seeing clips here and there and TFS. What I've been doing?

-Mortal Kombat 9
-Other anime
-Social life (friends, bars, parties)
-Reading
-Working
-Watching MLB here and there

That's me. I think the longest I have gone without it is a year back, and got back in it in 2006 when the Season Sets came out.

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

Have taken a break of sorts now.

Just waiting for the right time to watch from the beginning of DB to the end of Freeza.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.
