Is there any other way to make a purchase on Amazon using your affiliate code? I buy a lot of stuff there, so if I could give Daizex a kickback when I do that would be great.

Yeah, if you just click through any of our Amazon codes (I think I've updated every one on the site), anything you buy in that shopping session is counted toward it -- and you don't even have to buy the thing that you clicked on in the first place. It's pretty generous, which is nice.

Like when we started up donations a while back, I try not to make a big deal out of it, since I've made such a point of never having advertising/banners on the site, the site not actually existing to make money, etc. We really do appreciate it, though, 'cuz it really helps (and it doesn't just go toward podcasting stuff; those just happen to be some of the bigger purchases).

Dang I wish I had known that earlier. I used to purchase a lot of things from amazon. I just bought $150 aquarium filter for my new turtles. (No I didn't name them Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, or Leonardo. Although I'm thinking about naming one of them Squirtle :D ) I would have liked to help the site even if it was just a little. I'll keep this in mind in the future.

Boxes 4 and 5 arrived earlier today; thanks again for the news about the sale!

Normally I'd been waiting until I finished the previous box before buying others, but $23 is so cheap!

I still might pre-order box 6 along with something else I'd planned to pre-order.

Thanks for the heads up Mike! I love everything this site does so much I will make sure to do this in the future to help out. I totally understand, and appreciate, how low key you are about such things however. Few things can ruin an experience faster than being hit over the head constantly with donation requests. Think of it as the "NPR Effect."

So, anyone here want to help me think of something to pad my Dbox 4 purchase so that I can get free shipping?

Unfortunately, I don't have enough for Dbox 5 to go with it. :L

Are you a college student with a valid student email address? Or do you know someone who is and does? Then you can sign up for Amazon Prime for free for 1 year. You get a few cool things like no minimum purchases for free shipping and 2 day delivery. Other than that I can't think of anything except maybe a yellow marker incase you get a Dragonbox that has tape on the back. :P

I love the marker idea. I had that happen on my very first dragon box and it has really bugged me ever since I bought it.

Seriously though do you have enough money to pay around $30? if so I know DB movie 1 is really cheap on amazon right now.

I already got uncut Blood Rubies in an earlier purchase. I would be interested in DB Seasons but I don't seem to be be able to track one for a price I'd be willing to part with. I might need to think outside DB's scope, here. Hrm.

If there's anything in particular I'd like to get for Dbox stuff... well, replacing the packaging on my Dbox 1 would be nice.

Well, seems I just got screwed over.
-Just- as I decide to get "Street Fighter II The Animated Movie Uncut", Dbox 4 sells outs!

EDIT: Actually, now on the page it has this message instead of it saying it's sold out;
Item Under Review

While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!)

We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
There's also a single Dbox 2 back up, but it's not at sale price.

I picked up the 5th Kai set, Trigun, and the first Yu Yu Hakusho remastered set with some early birthday cash. I used a link from the site, so hopefully that helps.

That's weird (about DBox 4). While I haven't gotten to watching the one I just received yet (I'm still on box 3) the only oddity I've seen was one of the discs had fallen out of it's holder and onto one of the other discs right after I opened it up, but I don't think that counts.

As long as they play properly, that's what counts.

My Dragon Box 4 that I just received yesterday seems fine to me. I had been putting this off, and was initially waiting till next month to get it. Glad I bought it when I did though, because if it's indeed going out of print, I wasn't wanting to have a hole in my collection.

I knew I had to act then because the Dragon Boxes were on sale, and probably as a result, they were hitting the tops of Amazon's best seller list for anime, in addition to that one site claiming them to be out of print, meaning there was a chance that I couldn't wait any longer, and had to act now to secure myself a copy. I also happened to have just the right amount of cash on hand at the time.

Also, I got the uncut "Street Fighter II Animated Movie" DVD about 4 years ago, so fortunately I'm not in the same boat as you, but that's unfortunate for you sir, and you have my condolences.

Is it likely that I will be charged import tax on these? I ordered Dragon Box Three Thursday but though I may as well get Five now.

Well, seeing as you ordered them seperately, it's unlikely since they work out cheaper than £18.

Unfortunately, I ordered 1 and 2 together, so it comes to more than £18. However, I know plenty of people who have imported loads of stuff worth more than £18 and have never been hit with customs.

Well, I got DBox 5 instead of my planned DBox 4.

I assume 4 will come back up at some point due to the nature of it's "Unavailable" message (And how 2 ever-so-briefly did). Hopefully by then I'll have enough money to purchase it at it's likely-significantly-higher price. I'll certainly need to prioritize it over DBoxes 6 and 7.

It looks like I'll have to do the same, and for the episodes between box 3 and 5 I'll have to get, the orange brick. I won't buy it right away, and this will be the very last alternative, but I I can't get box 4, that's all I can do.
