I get a weird Goten vibe from the first Heroes avatar. Like if Goten's tail had never been removed, but he spent too much time in the sun.

SS3 Trunks is an real character with a real transformation, so I would call him an actual character.

Chilled is in an official [Not sure about that] manga release, so I was wondering if he is canon/part of the real universe.

Pretty much could he be refered to in a canon sense and also put into a video game as being from the DB Universe?
A few things worth pointing out on this one.

1. Why can't you see the made up Heroes characters ever showing up in another game? Hatchiyack was a made up game exclusive character, but that didn't stop him from later appearing in a completely different game.

2. Nobody knows if Chilled is canon to the original manga. I seriously doubt Toriyama even cares.

3. Whether Chilled is canon or not has absolutely no relevance to his chances of appearing in other games. Hatchiyack, many movie villains, and other anime original characters have shown up in the games.
Why wouldn't Chilled have a chance at being in the game? He could go along with SS Bardock [if he is added]. As to the made up Heroes, I'm talking about the generic looking human and random Saiyan looking ones; I really doubt a US release would have "random/generic Saiyan warrior" as a character.

The heroes for that game are just there so the person standing in front of the game has a person to play as that isn't a DBZ character.
I was thinking that too but then I remember Frieza Solider.

The official website?

There are only like 2 pictures for him, because the promo art from Heroes is normally the same as the ones used on one of the cards. I don't think any of them have been released in full and unobstructed though.

Then next time specify what you're looking for, don't just say images. But no, you probably aren't going to get anything higher in quality than that. I'm sure all the videos of him on youtube are the same crappy quality version found on the official Heroes website. I'm looking through the Japanese Heroes uploads, but I'm not seeing anything above the crappy 720p image you have, at least not yet.

New commercial for the game released today, couple of interesting things to note:
  • Promotes the characters from the recently revealed 5th card set (Freeza stuff, plus Movies 4,5,6 and a couple of Buu Arc cards).
  • New animation: Goku, "Saiyan Hero", "Freeza Clan Hero" vs. Super Slug and his men. Seems to have a slight story Slug and his men are terrorizing a planet and their inhabitants (look like purple toadstools), and Goku and the Saiyan Hero show up to stop them. Freeza Clan Hero helps out when it doesn't look like the other two can hack it alone...
  • Promotes the addition of the Freeza Clan avatars.
  • Discussion of the Saiyan Chronicle Campaign cards (basically Goku and Vegeta's families + Nappa).
  • A lot of in-game material to show off characters from the 5th card set.
  • V-Jump x DB Heroes, and Episode of Bardock. Mentioning that the SS Bardock, SS Goku, and SS Gohan mission they recently revealed is related to the chapter. I don't know if this is because all three characters will eventually appear in Episode of Bardock, or just because its a "Family of Super Saiyans" deal.
  • There is also a silhouette of Chilled and a date (8/20) for an announcement. Sounded like the guy said mission, and the only characters from missions who haven't been playable are Super Slug and Oozaru Vegeta because they are giants.
  • More on the avatar characters (showing the Heroes from the four sets), no idea why they showed them off though... perhaps something to do with a 5 character mission since they showed Akina as well.

I don't understand Japanese, but I'd love it if someone who does could translate anything important from the video... oh, and Youtube anyone? lol

Actually, Future Trunks DID go SSJ2 in Budokai 2, 3 and Infinite World, if I remember well. Also, why can't I view the new video?

Dunno? It didn't like to load for me when I watched it, but I just kept reloading till it decided to actually buffer. I watched it like 8 times so I could take the notes, and it did that every time. So what is it doing for you, just not loading or something else?

The new animation looks so nice, why can't we get stuff like that on the home releases?

Does the new Frieza thing have a name?

You should get a black screen with the video's toolbar at the bottom, like most of the old school videos before the days of YouTube and the like.
LeprikanGT wrote:Does the new Freeza thing have a name?
Yes, "Freeza Clan Hero". lol No he doesn't have a name. None of the other avatar characters, besides Akina (who is based on a real life idol), have been give names outside the "hero, elite, and berserker" titles, so why would this one?

I haven't been following it very much until recently. I thought it may have been a new legit character like Chilled or something.

Will Chilled see any action in the game? I'd love the chance to play him in a home release.

You didn't read my giant wall of notes that I posted with the video, did you? I called him the Freeza Clan Hero in there and addressed the Chilled question as well...

In short, Chilled has something to do with the game. 8/20 there will be an announcement about him/her judging by the silhouette they showed in the vid. Probably a mission, but all the characters from those, besides giants, have become playable...so, most likely. Don't hold your breath for a home release though...

If there anywhere that states how strong Kuriza is? I think a nice way to incorporate both of them would be to slip both of them into the main story in those 3 years of training for the androids. Chilled and Kuriza could be 'battling' to see who is the new ruler of the universe since everyone above them is dead. That could help bridge the strength gap jump in those years and could actually give Yamcha and Tien some more fight time since they didn't do much after 2nd form Cell, aside from a shot at Buu.
