Re: Son Goku's first SSJ transformation
I always thought about it this way:
When Goku first went SSJ, it was comparable to a massive adrenaline rudsh so it wasn't very difficult(relatively) for him to transform. But when he went SSJ3, he was already several levels into a powered-up state. So he had to push to get that extra power(thus causing strain when in that form). Hope that made sense...

I preffered the anime as well. The manga was too quick and more 'huh, what?'. In the anime we see his anger building, building, building, Goku struggling to compose himself in his rage and then *snap* SSJ!
And Freeza didn't really stand there and watch, he was wondering just what was going on with Goku, who by all rights should be screwed right now.

It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.
Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

None of which happens when somebody is consumed by rage. Take it from a guy who's experienced it firsthand.DBZ Mick wrote:In the anime we see his anger building, building, building, Goku struggling to compose himself in his rage and then *snap* SSJ!

Well, sure, but this is a TV show. It's got to be more exciting!

Was movie 4's False Super Saiyan not exciting? Because that was pretty much perfect.DBZ Mick wrote:Well, sure, but this is a TV show. It's got to be more exciting!

Haven't seen Movie #4 in a while. But it was exciting from what I remember- the sudden change and how Goku became brutal for a short while.
Oh and in response to your other post, when I was younger and was bullied one afternoon my anger slowly built up before I snapped so to speak and was furious (and wanting to kick some ass!)

From personal experience, turning Super Saiyan isn't easy. You have to be really pissed off and then just harness your inner strength. Just train and it will happen.
