It's official, only Freeza can pull off that design. :P

Actually, that is my main problem with the design. Its too much like Freeza's. It even has shoulder "orbs" like Freeza, which was actually one of the main differences between Cold's design and Freeza's second form design.

I think it would be better like this:

Image

With no shoulder "orbs" and two lines in the face, Cold's final design looks a lot more like Coola while still resembling Freeza. The way it is, it looks way too much like Freeza.

Yeah, I like this redesign, it flows better too, with the fact that it's Cold.

Cold's final form is... disappointing. I was expecting something radically different then Freeza's and Coola's features. But it borrows to much from Freeza'a final form.

Oh and Videl is totally screwed. She should seriously consider forfeiting, but she looks like the type to never give up, even when she is clearly outmatched.

I wonder how they're going to pull out the sword in the first place. Unless they try to break it right away. I guess they could just destroy the mountain around it. Yeah. o_O

The transformation is … boring.
Videl is fucked. I’m glad, I wanted Cold to win.

For as long as I can remember. My dad was a painter and taught me how to draw at a very young age. I started taking it seriously around 12 or 13.

The funny thing is, I never really did until that picture. You've got a knack, Scarz.

Oh, and I should post something on topic I guess... Colds final form looks okay, but nothing particularly special. I want Videl to win because, honestly, I don't see them getting much more out of the Frost Demon universe than "Hey look, Cold has new transformations!" whereas Universe 9 has quite a bit of potential.

Ah! How did you dig up stupidity of mine I thought long buried?

Anyway... I'm not sure how I feel about this transformation. I like the mature Freeza look about him... but at the same time, it sort of seems more like a character out of a mid '80s muscle man anime.

And no, before anyone says so, I don't believe Dragon Ball falls into that category... not in the '80s anyway.

He looks like a old man Frieza like Freeza enter the equivalent to our human 40's/50's, or Frieza with a grow spurt. Or If Frieza Super Buu style absorbed his brother. Idk it reeks to much of Frieza.

Indeed. I also mentioned a while ago that Cold looks like he was pencilled by Hara, the man who drew Hokuto no Ken. If anything Dragon Ball seems to parody Hokuto no Ken in the earliest chapters (i.e. Kame-Sennin powering up for the kamehameha), but that was all discarded when Toriyama turned it into an all-out shounen battle manga.

Okay, I think I just figured out what Cold's final form reminds me of.

EDIT: Okay, this seemed better when I came up with it, but now it just looks like Videl turned into King Cold with the Okay guy's face and accepted Elder Kai's offer, which wasn't what I was going for. Oh well...

The transformation looks very uninspired, if anything that transformation could have looked like a combination of Cooler's and Freeza's final forms, or something completely different. It just doesn't make sense to me that Freeza's final form would be identical to King Cold's, while Freeza basically returns to a midget and Cold stays more or less the same height.

Well, Cold in second/third form looked a lot like Freeza in second/third form... so I kind of expected him to look a lot like Freeza in his final form, too. Except with a King Cold-ish face, which is pretty much exactly how he ended up.

Also, how can you tell he stayed the same height? King Cold in second/third form was huge... he could be significantly smaller now than he was before and still look pretty large, especially when he's drawn to fill up a whole panel like that.

(And about the 10 hours thing... remember how it seemed to take forever for Gohan, but then at the end of the time period it turned out that he had actually finished the power-up hours earlier and was just sitting there doing nothing the rest of the time? I'm guessing it won't actually take a full 10 hours.)
