The Wii is a next gen console and BT2 was a launch title for it.

So it's game unrelated to any of these established next-gen series (BL, RB)?
Ah okay, that will make me hesitate the same way the RB2 did, because I bought it half year after release.
The graphics looks awesome, but it must have a brutally great gameplay and amuse me a lot if there will be that small
character roster.

The smaller roster is probably due to adding in the character creator and redoing all the models. If this game had two years of dev time, my oh my.

Just as an example, here are some of the DBZ characters I created in Mortal Kombat. The results often weren't very good, but, considering the game's overall art style, I thought it was decent enough.
Tenshinhan (Buu Saga)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-lDgIeogFY
I'm glad you noticed that Tenshinhan(buu saga) wears a cape, because until now every time Tenshinhan shows up with his final costume in video games the cape is always missing.
But, considering that these designs are supposed to be closer to the manga, maybe this time around we can see some accuracy regarding these details.

If you look at any fighting games with customization options for the standard characters, like Tekken and Soul Calibur 4, they don't let people change basic features of the real cast. You can change their hair and clothing, but not their faces or body.
Complete Character Creation & Customization – Appearance and attributes can be customized such as model body, face, hair, attire, fighting style and more! Additionally fighting style and special moves can be selected.

Probably, this means we can change the size of the characters as well.

Ehhhhh..... Really, character creator actually pisses me off since MK Armageddon.
I really didn't enjoy playing for custom characters and they looked really weird onstage with the basic ones.
Only games I like character creator in are RPG's like from Bioware.

I want more characters from series, not any lame Ccreator.

Well going by Neon Z's videos of his custom characters from that abomination MK:A, even a wack CaC mode could be put to good use. If create a character mode is in this game(which it most likely is) then we will know what the deal is(how good it will be) when they show us a trailer for it.

Shin_Chou_Senshi wrote:The " perfect " DBZ game is different in all of our minds if you think about it. It can't exist. Close enough is fine. I'm not looking for perfect. I'm looking for a quality game that is fun.
No one here said anything about the "Perfect" or a "Perfect" DBZ game. Like you, all we want is a good quality title but like as you said, everyone sees things differently. So if its because of model issues, the QTEs/rock paper scissors type thing going on, not enough combos, or even the heavy chance of character creater being in this game a lot of us here dont see Ultimate Tenkaichi as being that "quality" game just yet.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

:D Nice European cover... Although possibly provisory... Give him less spikes and he's early SSJ Goku... XDDD

I expect a lot from character creation... At least to being able to give the characters all the costumes and hairstyles... Not only for early SSJs...

Also there isn't a game, not even Tenkaichi 3, where you have post-RoSaT Trunks that have BOTH Dai Ni Dankai and Dai San Dankai and that have the previous costume with the short hairs (the style he has when he kills No.17 and No.18 in the future)...

That's what I'm waiting for. Everyone seems to judge these guys' gameplay when they don't know jack shit.

There was that Goku vs Super Saiyan Goku video where the guys were mediocre. I remember loving that video, it actually got me really pumped for the game!

Watching this got me excited as well. I noticed that some of the camera angles reminded me of the show, and it didn't seem like there was too many QTE's like Leprikan is always talking about. To me, it seems just like the RB gameplay WITH some QTE's and new camera angles. I don't know why everyone is bitching about really bad gameplay when they haven't even tried it.

But I guess it's normal. It happens every year.

By far I think the best showing of gameplay for this game is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCZZ5aM_fo0 but I really like the Trunks vs Broly video also.

I understand that they want potential buyers to play the demos but for once can they also have like demo guys also play, people who have mastered it or whatever to show off the gameplay and then let the people play it? That way people playing the demo has something to aim for.

That was probably the best video so far. Those auras look fantastic. On point ! I loved how when they were close it looked like one super saiyan aura. 8)

And I've been envisioning rapid ki blash struggles for a WHILE, and it's here ! The wave struggles were cool too of course, they lasted a pretty long time. NICE ! I can't wait to get this game. Spike put their foot in it.

Yes, that's what I think. However, what I was trying to say is that if they're allowing us to change the "model body" and "face" with the creation & customization feature, it doesn't sound like they're just talking about altering the official characters.

They wouldn't let people change Goku's basic features even if there was an option to change his outfit. That's why I mentioned Soul Calibur IV too. You can change the build and face of custom characters (in limited ways), but you can't do that to the official characters (you can only change their outfit and hair). Considering how they're talking about those options, it really sounds like an actual character creator this time, not just options for the official characters.
