Hey guys, is there any Daizenshuu EX panel planned for Otakon 2011? Or any sort of get together?

I'll be going! Even though I've always lived about an hour away from Baltimore, this will be my first time going. I have no idea what to expect. There doesn't seem to be much of any Dragonball stuffage going on at all. I was atleast hoping an English DBZ voice actor would be there. I'll most likely be at the Pokemon trainer panel, Funimation panel, and AMV contest on the first day.

It's a lot of fun. If you can find some panels you enjoy and people to attend them with then that's the best.

Is this your first convention ever? The first time I went to an anime convention I spent way too much money on crap I was just excited to see. I have no idea where that stuff is now besides some soundtracks and a few 5$ DVD's. It's a little overwhelming seeing so much cool stuff in one place.

I started going to anime conventions late in my fandom. My first was Otakon 2006, before that I'd just go to comic conventions. There is a certain smell these conventions have that now, I need to smell or my summer isn't complete. It's not a great smell, but not horrible. It's a mix of sweat, Japanese merchandise, cheap plastic swords and melted cheese. Smelling that mix early in the morning in dealers room just makes my summer complete. Uh... I'll stop talking now...

Hahaha I'm completely expecting myself to spend way too much money on unnecessary merchandise

Worse thing is that I get paid this Friday. Yea this will be my first convention ever! Very excited! But as I'm planning my schedule, I notice that there's so many scheduling conflicts. I won't be able to see everything I want to see. Especially if you're supposed to wait in line an hour early for something you really want to see

Judging by VegettoEX's Twitter, I'm guessing it's started. How is it? Any interesting panels? Has Funimation said anything worth noting? Anything interesting in the Dealers Room? I would be there if I didn't live in NZ.

Yea I saw that on your twitter too Tanooki. That's what got me really upset, that I felt like everybody saw this booth but me!

Where was this booth located? Like around where? Was it in the middle? Was it near the Funi booth? I have to know so that I can beat myself up about it more

You have to equip bombs then place a bomb by the crack in the wall in between artist ally and the dealers room. If you do it right, you'll go inside and there will be a man selling these figures on a table.

OK, honestly I have no idea. I was just randomly walking in the dealers room and saw it. When I went back later after deciding I'll pick up one of those figures, it took me a while to find again because I was basically going up and down every isle with no recollection at all where it was.

When I first went to the dealers room, I decided to follow a system to make sure I saw everything. I walked the perimeter first and then would try and walk in squares until i reached the middle. But it was hard to resist going to the middle because of all the wallscrolls and figures that tempted me. So I caved in and ventured to the middle of the room. Then I got distracted by all the SSJ hair that everybody was wearing because Funimation was handing them out.

Ok I am not too big on convention knowledge. But is Otakan just an anime convention? And why don't they bring fucking anime cons down to fucking Florida. Itd be easier than to shop online for my dbz crack addiction like toys figures and etc. But if anyone knows about florida conventions MESSAGE ME BACK NOT EMAIL PERSONAL message. Thanks a ton

There are quite a couple in Florida actually, and not just anime. Like Metrocon, Florida Super Con, Florida Anime Experience, and plenty more. Many other conventions include anime as well as a number of other things like Megacon. This site could probably help you.
