Digital Grade does it well though, but I have an affinity for small figures as well as DX figures so that bias might be influencing my though process, but regardless. Great stuff.

You know, it took me a while to make my first gashapon purchase, but once I did I was hooked. I love each of the six Vegeta gashapon I own, and plan on getting many more. There are a few things I love about them. First of all they're generally pretty cheap. Second, all of mine are also incredibly detailed (especially the Digital Grade). Lastly they tend to have cool poses that simply wouldn't be possible in larger sizes. I absolutely love the figure I have from the Imagination 6 line of Goku fighting Majin Vegeta for example. My suggestion to anyone on the fence about gashapon would be to buy one and see how you like it. I'm betting you will love it, but even if you don't you haven't lost that much because they're so cheap. Don't get me wrong. I still love DX figures, and have a number of them. But I also love the smaller scale gashapon to fill out my collection.

I do own a couple I was given free a couple years ago as part of a trade, but they were in such bad shape that I just never took them out of the "toy box" so to speak. There was a Super Buu that doesn't stand up, a Cell with bent wings, and maybe a Gohan? I don't really remember and I don't feel like digging. lol But I just wasn't impressed really. It isn't that I dislike the fact that they are smaller than my other stuff, the scale comment was meant as I dislike that the gashapons themselves aren't often in scale with each other.Raithos wrote:^ What he said,

Hmm legend of saiyan kid gohan was in scale, so was DG SSJ2 Gohan. Despite your past history with gashapon, the new stuff is really good especially with the HG and most certainly with the DG lines. It's worth it to pick up a couple, they're honestly really impressive.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:I do own a couple I was given free a couple years ago as part of a trade, but they were in such bad shape that I just never took them out of the "toy box" so to speak. Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
Saw that, I actually have it preordered on HLJ and it's slightly cheaper, so I'll stick with HLJ. Please don't tell me these versions have the annoying "2 random gold coloured ones inside" crap becuase I'll be pissed. I want all of these in vibrant high and mighty colour.
Just got Legend of Saiyan DX 4 featuring Vegeta and King Vegeta and Max Muscle Mania SSJ3 Goku. The max Muscle Mania was an impulse buy off Angolz for 14.00 I'm not really too much of a big fan of the figure but I think it's ok. A tad small though, and what is with the random selection of SSJ3 Goku and Nappa? Lol? It's a meh for me. Honestly between the SSJ3 Goku DG Gashapon and the SCultures (Tenkaichi) SSJ3 Goku I could care less about this one.

random selectionnnn

The Legend of Saiyan at this point are just completionist purchases for me, and I am now going to be selling my entire Legend of Saiyan Collection, these will stay ,MISB in lieu with that cause. From what the box shows and from what I've seen from other collectors the figures look great though.

Nice purchases.
The Digital Grade gashapon look amazing, but I don't think I'll be able to get those anytime soon because of other expenses.
I haven't had too many purchases in general in the past few months... Just the last LoS set and the 6th Dragon Box, but I should be getting some new things soon. Hobby Link Japan shipped out two boxes of the new MegaHouse set for me today, plus I'm also expecting three more boxes of figures from RightStuf. I went with the fast shipping options on both, so hopefully both orders will come this week, because I'll be out of town on vacation next week.

I don't know kinda hesitant on opening them since they are after all Limited Release..... Might go with my gut and double dip once I get the Extra Money.... But I'll be ordering Dragon Box Vol. 2(from rightstuf) and Vol. 6(Amazon or Walmart.com) next month can't wait... Unless Vol. 2 go down in price on Amazon...

I received three boxes of Megahouse figures today from RightStuf.
One box of this set, which naturally I'd get the gold version in the two figures I wanted most from it...

And two boxes of this set, in which I got two gold versions of the Videl/Gohan figure.

I also have some comparisons since I have similar versions of a few figures now.
2004 Version on the left/2009 on the right.

I have two boxes of another Megahouse set coming this week... Hopefully I get a complete set from that.

Nice pickups, I have that first set and I need to order that second one from rightstuff.
I really don't like this gold version crap. It's like I can feel it when I order it... the figures I want most will be f***ing gold version, lol.

Just brought a Bulma figure from ebay. I don't usually buy small figures but I kind of like this one so I thought why not pick it up.

I know right. No one likes the gold version, and all it does is make you buy more boxes in order to complete a set in color (smart business...). It's not like the boxes are cheap either...Raithos wrote:Nice pickups, I have that first set and I need to order that second one from rightstuff.

Aren't you guys a little old to be buying dolls/action figures? I'm more familiar with comic statues, but aren't these also really expensive waste of money?Raithos wrote:Scarz wrote:Just brought a Bulma figure from ebay. Awesome pickup, I usually try to do that too just go for the favourites
Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
Hey guys! I've been meaning to make a post for a while, but haven't gotten around to it.
First up wasn't technically a purchase on my part. It was a birthday gift from a friend. I'm not exactly sure what line this is from, but I really like him. He looks like he's about two seconds away from kicking some serious ass.

Next up is a figure that I finally broke down and bought. Boy am I glad that I did! He is absolutely the highlight of my collection. I spent a bit more on him than I wanted to, but oh well...

Finally is a figure I kind of got stuck with. As most of you are probably aware, I have a "Vegeta only" policy with my figures. Well, the only HQDX Majin Vegeta I could justify price wise was being sold together with the Goku from the same line.

I am keeping the Goku in the box so I can attempt to sell him and recoup some of the cost from the Vegeta. If anyone is interested here is the link to the eBay listing.

Nice purchase on that Majin Vegeta. It's an excellent looking figure. I find that Goku one of the ugliest DX figures though.
