Now I'm starting to see why this is debated; I wasn't referring to Evil Buu's ingesting Good Buu, but to the various absorptions. The Buuhan > Buutenks > Kid Buu > Super Buu > Fat Buu model. It could be because of how I read into the nature of evil into Buu's being; add good to evil and you weaken him, remove good from evil and you only strengthen him.

Gohan is purely good but he greatly strengthen him... Only Dai Kaioshin weakened him because of his gentle nature beyond the human gentleness...
But South Kaioshin made him stronger...

Super Buu > Kid Buu because he is intended as a fusion... Also Fat Buu is a fusion, but a weakening one... Like Goku + Mr.Satan...

Which in turn falls back onto my confusion about how well Goku could have faired against Super Buu; he can massacre Fat Buu but barely keep pace with Kid Buu as SSJ3, while Kid Buu hammers Fat Buu even harder.

He would have barely survived against Super Buu... He would have done better than SSJ1 Gotenks but nothing more... As long as SSJ3 would have endured, he would have been able maybe to at least survive... But nothing more...

SSJ3 Goku vs Super Buu would be like SSJ2 Majin Vegeta vs Fat Buu, more or less...

As for ending on a fusion, I knew from the start they'd break apart simply because that's too much; the series became way too serious two dozen volumes and 200 episodes ago to pull a sheer WTF ending like that. At least the one we got was in character.

He could have invented a way to make things more interesting... Like Buu absorbing people from all the space and forcing Vegeth to fight seriously, maybe even going SSJ2 or SSJ3...

This sounds like total bullshit to me. I mean Roku basically defeats everyone post Freeze, but Cell (and last time I recalled in the timeline without Roku all the heroes are wiped out but Trunks). Further, all 13 movies are basically Roku hitting someone with a Spirit Bomb.

While I think we cant really take mves into account,I have to agree with SuperAndroid11. Also note that Gohan was only able to defeat Cell with mental support of his dad, wich certainly wasnt "useless"

At the Cell Games Goku would still break anybody who isn't Cell or Gohan over his knee. Being the third most powerful out of nine people isn't bad at all. In the Boo Arc he's the strongest unfused character after Pure Boo and becomes the hero once again after defeating him. Yeah, very useless.

That's were you are wrong. Gohan> Buff Boo> Piccolo Boo> Super Boo> Goku. Far from the strongest I would say.

Don't start an argument with CH, he thinks of everything (or at least characters' strength?) differently than most of us. Too bad he uses that for theorizing other things.

I don't believe that anymore due to the Daizenshuu statement that Gohan has greater potential than Goku so I agree with you.
