I always liked a lot of the jokes in the original BLT dub of Dragon Ball, despite the cornyness. It was loose and sounded natural without being totally rewritten. A lot of it was the delivery I think. There's this incredulous 'You just made it bright but it's still dark outside!' that cracks me up every time I hear it... even if it's not a particularly funny line.

That, and the whole running tail gag in episode 2... especially where the turtle tells Goku that Bulma's just jealous because she doesn't have a tail. A lot of that was just delivered hilariously.

I was sad when they re-wrote the Magic Motorcycle stuff for the in house dub of Dragonball, even though a lot of the other dialogue is still the same.
