Amusing inconsistencies in the anime

Post by Sunlight & City Night » Wed Aug 03, 2011 1:23 pm

I've just noticed during DBZ episode 72 when Vegeta picks up his new battle armour from Freezas spaceship he complains that there is only one set in his size.
If I'm not mistaken battle armour is shown many times to be very stretchy so fittings shouldn't really be an issue should it? :D

Anyway what other funny and inconsistent things have you noticed in the show?

The newer types of battle armor were all-fitting. The older models were not, I take it.

Maybe they was too large for him. In that case, the stretching ability wouldn't really matter.

Yeah I suppose so. Thinking about it I might have misunderstood what he said...

Would animation mistakes count as inconsistencies?

Yeah, I guess they would if they're amusing.

Fusions will have double voices right? Well Elder Kai and KibitoKai have one voice not double. Yeah...

SSjin 2 Gohan kills eight Cell Juniors instead of the seven that Cell spawned.

-Vegeta knowing of Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta far before Dodoria telling him
-Vegeta beating the shit out of Gohan and flying off but then standing under a tree the next episode like nothing happened.

Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

There's the anime not including Zarbon's line about Freeza being able to transform as well, which later becomes the sole reason why Vegeta knew Freeza could transform and he even says in the anime that Zarbon told him, though he actually didn't.

That filler didn't make sense.

It was thought to be that only 2 people can be in the time chamber/room of spirit and time. Based on someone's statement in the Cell saga. Then that was contradicted in the Buu saga when 4 people Goten, Trunks, Buu, and Piccolo were in it.

Where would Vegeta even go and after seeing him beat up Gohan, why would Bulma even take him in?

I'm glad Kai actually fixed this.

That is also in the manga.

It looks like a plot-hole to me. When Kuririn said to Vegeta he prefered his model without shoulders, Vegeta said he was using an old model because there wasn't a model with his size. Right after that he explained to them the shoulders stretch and they should remember when he transformed in Oozaru.

I can't understand why Vegeta can use an armor as an Oozaru, but can't pick one of the armors Kuririn or Gohan took.

Maybe it's like underwear. They are stretchy, but you can't pick a small size or they will squeeze your body.

Because probably everyone except Tenshinhan basically doesn't care about what Vegeta did anymore. Tenshinhan even calls Yamcha out on how on earth he can be comfortable living with him (the guy who was responsible for his death).

In both the manga and anime, Bulma knows that Vegeta is a planet-conquering, murdering bastard who was responsible for the deaths of her boyfriend and friends, and almost killed her oldest friend and his five-year-old son. Yet she still takes him in, even joking about how he shouldn't do anything naughty because she's hard to resist. She probably doesn't particularly like him much, since, when Piccolo or someone asks him where Vegeta is, she replies that she doesn't know, adding, "You think I'd live with that jerk?" But, overall, she seems to be fine hanging around and talking with him, not to mention letting him fuck her and bearing his child.
